If you actually sat down and listened to his seminar, you'd understand that his logic is actually quite sound. Menzter wasn't trying to reinvent the wheel, his strategy was basically risk management against nature and science.

>We do not know the optimal muscle stimulus for maxmium growth

In his seminar he talks about us not knowing the stimulus roof for efficient muscle building. Is it 65% of maximum capacity? 72%? 88%? 93%? Is there a point where the muscle is sufficiently engaged/stressed and where it will not respond to any more effort? His philosophy is basically that when we don't know, why even take the chance and train less and not just go 100%. At 100% max capacity you are *guaranteed* to hit that threshold, no matter what, even if the threshold is like 65% of max effort. Mentzer would rather take it all the way than leave it to chance what the "magic number" is.

>We do not know the optimal recovery time for perfect recovery

We don't know how long it actually takes to rest, and how much the body can endure, and how much suboptimal rest impacts growth. Again he is hedging his bets against science. Are you fully reocvered after 48 hours? 72? 128? If we don't actually fully know, why take a blind guess and not go all the way and get truely fully recovered.

Mentzer's approach is very anti-scientific in an odly scientific way, if we do not know the exact thresholds you hedge your bets by going all the. You do not leave it up to chance, papers or any "magic numbers".

Bro none of this shit matters. I know 10 other guys who lift personally in real life, we all do completely different routines, yet we all look jacked and shredded, dramatically varying routines, dramatically varying diets.

When it comes to this gym shit, theres a million different ways to do it.

Who cares? There's modern versions of HIT that will work better. It's fun idea but it usually requires someone who's already a hyper responder and they'd probably grow on anything else too.

Low IQ people have a false sense of confidence, we need to start normalizing the usage of stupid and retarded in everyday language.

I really like his theory and philosophy but I don't need max muscle growth, what I actually need is to have some energy left in the tank in case someone attacks me on the street. I also need mental focus and I know that pushing 100% on workouts can sometimes impact that negatively. I also can't afford to sleep all day or be lazy.

I can give 100% effort- just not for weight lifting and exercise.

Why would I need some roidtranny to tell me the obvious? If you push hard and listen to your body on whether you are recovered or not what else do you need? That’s common sense which any chump on the street who doesn’t even workout would say because it implies to basically everything in life.
