is lifting weights the easiest form of exercise? except maybe machines
>>
>>77311131
If using machines to lift weights isnt weight lifting then what is it?
>>
Lifting manmade metal shaped in circles up and down for no reason
>>
>>77311132
using a machine and a system of pulleys to move a weight that you don't touch? forklifting is not lifting weights either
>>
>>77311139
you make it sound strangely erotic...
>>
>>77311140
I didnt realize operating a forklift required physical strength of the operator. Most curious.
>>
>>77311143
operating a strength machine requires strength, but it doesn't require lifting weights
>>
>>77311151
You dont think weight lifting machines have weights attatched to them?
>>
>>77311140
using a metal bar and a range of motion to move a weight that you don't touch? weightlifting is not lifting weights either

>>77311156
so do forklifts?
>>
>>77311181
exactly, that's why you don't count the bar

What's crazier to me is arc welding without eye protection.

People are dumb. I worked with a guy who didn't where a mask or use water when cutting concrete and ended up in the hospital for almost a week.

i believe so

I despise those people. They make it worse for everyone because then the bosses assume we’ll just run into stupid tasks without PPE or any forethought
>>

Feel like it's a widespread cultural problem across a lot of trades. Never use this term but genuine toxic masculinity.

This has been one of the worse threads in a while

Most threads look similar or worse at any given time. Almost all threads are useless unless you are here to discuss social media tier bs

>already did cardio
Why would I spend more effort than just liftig?
>>
>>77313672
completely true
I started doing hill sprints recently
For one, now my knees are hurting
For two, I could already sprint up the hill at the start. My cardio was perfectly fine. All I'm chasing now are marginal improvements.
Lifting provides plenty of basic cardio by itself

>now my knees are hurting

but apparently it doesn't make athletic at all, at least uphill
>>
>>77314143
?
I think my knees hurt from pounding on the concrete

Crazy izzat
>>
>>77311531
What do you use water for?
>>
>>77311131
Running is unironically the easiest form of exercise because you can make gains without pushing yourself hard. Getting more distance per week will improve your endurance and pace even if they're low intensity runs. Weight training requires pushing yourself to discomfort to get anywhere. You cannot make significant strength or mass gains with low intensity weight training.

There is either an attatchment on the saw or a laborer next to you pouring water on the cut so that concrete dust does not fly in the air. Toxic and osha violation. I think with enough over time silica can actually calcify your lungs.
>>
>>77315875
running is high impact on joints and wrecks overweight/obese people looking to lose weight. easiest exercise is stationary fitness cycling.

In my experience my joints only hirt from being too high impact on the way down
>>
>>77316071
If I was perfectly capable of sprinting up a hill numerous times on day one, was my cardio bad?
>>
>>77316349
Could be, but I don't know what you consider sprinting, or how steep the hill was or how long the route was. Bottom line, can you do a 5k in under 30 minutes? This wouldn't be very fast at all, it's not a high bar, but for sure if you cannot do this there's no way you can be considered fit in a cardio sense.
