i fail to see much point in lifting? Why not just do running/walking/biking/etc. Stuff you do everyday maybe you lift something like a log and youd do deadlift but thats about it whats the point of laying on bench and sharting up 300 every 15 minutes? Like am i out of touch not once in my 30 years have i been pinned on the ground and had to lift 300 pounds off me? like are yall letting landwhales ride yall cowgirl or somethin and she passes out?

No point in running either all the +100 people only walk, only good exercise in your list is swimming
That being said
>sharting up 300 every 15 minutes
Sour grapes

yea im just trying to think what you would encounter in everyday life, i could see you needing to jog say if you need to get through an airport quick, bikes can be useful if you need to go to the store or like a bike tour. Swimming is useful indeed, but lifting seems to be cope for not doing these things like a cheap replacement for lazy powersharters, maybe if your into climbing but seems a bit silly to lift solely for that and not just climb

Basically sex. Good body = higher chance of sex. Otherwise might as well eat junk and foodmaxx.

I told you that my college years never happened.
At any rate, training for volume at moderate intensity to build work volume seem to be better for overall health. But let the kids peacock when they're going.

Outside of just purely aesthetics, lifting has numerous health benefits that become even more apparent as you get older, obviously you don't need to go full body builder to be healthy but lifting at the very least twice a week on top of cardio is good for you.

Makes you smarter and stronger in every way.

>Greater bone density which carries over into your golden years and prevents hip injuries. Why would you not want to be strong in injury prone positions? Train squatting, hinging, and thoracic rotation.
