Is swimming the best form of cardio? Discuss.
>>
>>77312332
no, doesn't improve bone density . Good rest day/morning wake up cardio tho. Also op is a faggot.
>>
i plan on swimming soon
whats the meta for good and cheap bathing suits + goggles?
>>
>>77312332
Yes.
>>
>>77312649
i always get speedo. but they are not cheap. could just go to k-mart or wherever and get some budget stuff. it really doesn't matter as the pool chemicals wreck everything irrespective of cost or quality.
>>
>>77312649
with goggles if you can you should go to a sports shop and try a few pairs to see what fits your face shape, nothing more annoying than getting constant leaks. No need to get anything that's over $30 imo.
Silicone cap. Bathing suit slip or boxers depending on what you are more comfortable with, with the latter just don't get anything that's too loose. If you're in EU you can get everything at Decathlon for cheap

They don’t look like that because they swim. They swim because they look like that. Play to your strengths
>>
>>77312332
Would I be better at swimming if I was gay?
>>
>>77312332
theoretical: yes because extremly joint friendly and whole body involvement

practical: no because you need a lake or swimming pool which means for most alot of friction to get to the place first. also you need a closed facility in winter.

conclusion: the best form of cardio is what you do regularlybecause you like doing it

For me, walking. And you??

Craziest shit ever, I'd like to meet the guy who invented it

walking
jogging
bicyling

those 3 in rotation depending on what time mood and regenration allows. i think the trick is to be less dogmatic about things.

You can do swimming and not be competitive. It's still fun if you like it.

>>77312649
Try to get briefs that are on sale. Anything skin tight is the best for leg mobility and briefs are the cheapest option. If you head shape is normal any googles should do.
>>
>>77312332
If you fucking LOVE it, then yes. But for most people, no. Its annoying and expensive. Every swimmier I know has shuldr problems at a young age. Its also gay and when you get out of breath, unlike everything you else, you starte to choke and drown.

Seems less than optimal.
>>
>>77312332
no because I will only swim in a private pool full of distilled drinking water and that's "not realistic"

Jump rope by far but cycling gets fun points and also allows you to never have to do leg day.

Discuss my bollocks.

>>77312332
why does every good form of cardio overdevelop your obliques? picrel would be so aesthetic if they didn’t all have teenage mutant ninja turtle bellies from massive swimming obliques
>>
>>77312332
dude on right has absolute flippers for feet. natural advantage
>>

why are you so focused on his feet

>bathing suits
Turbo swim briefs for me, €30. Spanish brand, I believe. Excellent cut and durability, better cut than Speedo and Arena in my experience. Plain classic colours (black, blue, red, etc), various designs, also custom designs for swim teams (including mine)
>goggles
Tyr Blackhawk and Arena Tracks for me (pic related, £15), plus Tusa anti-fog once the factory coating has worn out. I struggled to find a model that fit my face well and doesn't leak. Those ones work, so I'm not changing. Adjustment loop in the back is more practical than on the sides. Clear lenses maximize visibility indoors. I don't know why brands are selling so many tinted and mirrored models, those only make sense to me for outdoor swimming

>shuldr problems at a young age
Wrong technique, but many such cases. Swim instructors as a whole are not as good as they should be
>when you get out of breath
Here too, wrong technique, but common

>>77314296
Bit gay but I can't say I wouldn't

Kek the meta thread got beleted
