The only reason women have arbitrarily selected 6 feet as the minimum acceptable height is because (a) it is a stupid round number, (b) they think other women have this standard, and (c) accepting less would mean being one down versus women who have a 6 foot mate. It is the exact same reason there is a hot new water bottle brand every couple of years. They are just that stupid.

If our measuring system were slightly different such that a theoretical "6ft" were equivalent to our 5'10, then that theoretical "6ft" cutoff would be used.This never used to be a problem because its not like people IRL walk around with a number floating above their heads listing their heights. The only time you'd even see it is on a drivers license. It only became a thing when online dating happened, and people were forced to list their stats, and arbitrary cutoffs started to be used to filter people.Its pretty crazy to think about. Like imagine there's this guy who would be a perfect match in every single way, except he's 5'11 and the girl arbitrarily chose 6' as a height filter on her dating profile, so she won't even see him at all.
