I am 40 and these are really starting to hurt my shoulders. Should I stop doing them? Incline doesn't seem to hurt as much.

Yeah stop doing flat bench it's a pretty shitty exercise overall but it just feels hella fun. Switch to machines they do the exact same thing.

Yeah, I stopped doing them, too because once I really hurt my shoulder with them. I'm having fun doing dips now. I bet there's a sacred technique, like really closing your shoulder blades or something, but I don't really care anymore.
