How the fuck do you get 5 grams of potassium a day?
>>77323613You have to do ridiculous things like drink 2 liters of orange juice or eat a pound of sun dried tomatoes
>>77323613It's almost as if you dont need it to thrive. >My grandma died of lack of vitamin potassiumSaid no one ever
>>77323613you don't need that much potassium unless you're eating a shitload of sodium. reduce your sodium intake --> reduce your potassium needs
>>77323613NoSalt is 640mg per 1/4 tsp. and a lot club soda is good for potassium but not all of them.
>>77323656If you try to just drink nosalt mixed into water you'll get diarrhea. If you do a combo of salt and nosalt mixed into water (2:1 potassium:sodium) it kind of works.
>>77323666you can just mix it in food.
>>77323684This never occurred to me, possibly because I'm retarded.
>>77323624He could have died from a high blood pressure or calcification of the arteries, cauzed by lack of potassium.
>>77323613How do you even track h your potassium intake?
>>77323613just eat potatoes
>>77323613Potassium has to be at a certain amount in the cell water in the plant for the pla t to survive. So I like to think of potassium as just getting enough plant water in my diet. Kinda no matter the plant, if you eat a large amount in weight you get a lot of potassium. Potato for example has much mor potassium than grains do, because it has more water. Then you may wonder why beans have a lot of potassium. That's because a bean produces two huge leaves which are actually already stored in the bean itself, the cotyledons. So a bean has a lot of dried plant water. Seeds that create a small leaf have much less potassium, like grain. So it's really not that hard. Eat a lot of plants by weight and you will get that potassium no matter the plant. Also try eating some legumes and potatoes as a boost.
