This changes everything.
>>77323653or just go to the park, walk and talk to qts.
>>77323653>TreadmillElliptical mogs.
Set incline to 15%Set speed to 6km/h (3,73 in retarded imperial) as base speedFrom time to time put 16km/h (10mph) for 30-45 seconds to maxx your heart rateRepeat 5-6 times
>>77323653Good luck finding a treadmill with 12% elevation. Might as well just do one minute hill repeats with two minutes jogging back down of rest outside.
The Technogyms at my gym go all the way to 15% I believe. 12%@3mph will get old fast though, it is uncomfortable and you're getting MET 9 or thereabout. I would much rather do a light jog.
I did this for 56 minutes at the gym but I had to take a shit so I couldn’t go the full 90 or 120 that I planned onAlso>>77324469
>>77324280The fuck are you talking about?I've never seen a treadmill that doesn't do at least 15deg.
Add 150 lb rucksack for insane calorie burn
>>77324280KekEvery commercial one does
>>77323653I'm considering going to the gym 30 minutes earlier and adding this to my workout. Seems like it's gonna be boring.
I've been doing 15 incline at 3 speed for 30 minutes, and it's getting easy, might bump up to 16 next week.
... what does 12% elevation mean
>>77326563I guess maybe 100% means that the treadmill is pointing straight up?
>>77326588it would be extremely painful
>>77323653So where did this come from/what's the benefit over just walking outside? My coworkers have been talking about it so it's clearly a fad of some sort. Are there any actual benefits (outside of, you know, the walking)?
>>77326563Every 100m travelled laterally, you went up 12m in elevation.
>>77326591Have more calories burned in less time while still being low impact.
>>77326821If someone is worried about impact they should just do the elliptical.
>>773236531/2hr at 12% will burn mostly the glucose stored in your muscles. After this reduce the angle to about 6% and do another 1/2hr and you'll burn mostly fat.
>>77323653>right after lifting HARD go to the treadmill>set the incline between 2,5% and 5%>set speed at 6 km/h>walk for 15-20 mins
>>77326924>>right after lifting HARD go to the treadmillSo divert blood flow away from the muscle groups after all that work - stupid idea
why not just run/jog instead of walk
>>77327063Your recovery lasts like, 48hrs. You're over reacting.
>>77327065tyme
>>77323653At the end of a workout, i usually do 8% at 3.5mph for at least 10 minutes, usually 20-30 and its very doable and effective
>>77327360exactly, you can jog for the same amount of tyme and get better results
>>77327384Yeah, some have more of it.
>>77323653This is good for a pretty easy 3k+ steps at the gym. I usually do it post workout and leave the gym with almost 5k steps done already before I get to the rest of my day. It's not a magical workout but does make getting cardio more approachable for people with a mid cardio base
