meme exercise of the day:
>kettlebell cross body swing
tried these yesterday, just a few sets with 16kg and my back has locked up completely, any sort of back movement fucking hurts. i'm struggling to get out of bed and go for a walk. i can deadlift 500lbs this is absurd.
>>
Sounds like you went too heavy bruh. My numbers are similar to yours and I only use 22 pounds on the cable machine when doing axe chops / strafing paloff press.
>>
>deadlifting
I think I see the problem

Bruh you made a common mistake and that mistake is you initiated the rotation from your torso and not your hips. You initiate with your hips for 45° and then finish another 25-45° with your torso. Good news you'll feel better in a couple days.
Instead of jumping straight into rotational swings try doing a rotational good morning or deadlift with the kettlebell to feel what it's like when you rotate from the hip (one knee will bend a bit forward and the other leg with straighten back)

This. Fuck deadlifts. The most uesless lift that insists upon itself.
>>
>>77323913
possible
i was just kinda winging it technique-wise
i have trouble pivoting my back foot and i may have been relying on my back too much because of that

>>77323897
yeah i probably just jumped in too heavy too quick
>>
>>77323941
>i have trouble pivoting my back foot and i may have been relying on my back too much because of that
Is your back foot in this case your dominant or non dominant foot?
This Korean dude does a drill with a mace here, if you do it with a broomstick you can start to open up mobility.

Fuck did you expect? And if you were going to concede to your dumbassery so quick, why call it a meme?
>>
>>77323835
i don't know why but numale leftoids are obsessed with kettlebells
>>
>>77323913
Do you use all that equipment ?
I have just started with a 4kg macebell and a 4.5kg gada, already thinking of getting persian meels too and a bulgarian bag. Is that an illness that i try to get more of this type of training tool ?

I like this guy's channel because he always gets into the meme exercises and he's endearingly autistic about them. Imagine living in the same quaint british town and randomly spotting a buff shirtless guy crawling through the alleyways
>>
>>77323835
It's entirely possible you just got DOMS in postural muscles after this unusual workout. DOMS in those hit differently according to my physiotherapist.
>>
>>77324521
i am no stranger to spinal erector doms
this is more like a pulled muscle

I like this guy though. If the point is to just get moving he pulls it off. Plus after his Biopunk video I can't hate the guy. I legit have fun trying some of the advanced movement stuff.

It felt cool deadlifting my bodyweight for reps when I started, but after a while I was eagerly adding weight and theb pain and too much hamstring DOMS started appearing. Training hams and erectors individually is safer because I do not have the fucking patience to master "le epic safe technique" when no one actually cares if you deadlift 400 pounds.
>>
>>77324703
yeah but then they act like barbells and dumbbells are bad and get all snobby over it. Like only dumb people use barbells and dumbbells
A weight is a weight

Kettlebells are the absolute worst modality ever conceived of

Most of it, yeah. I built it out over COVID but if I had to do it all over again I'd get ajustables for the metal stuff. Hephaestus Athletics makes a nice adjustable kettlebell that goes up to 40kg, adex does the same with steel clubs.
The wood stuff is more fun though, it feels natural.
>I have just started with a 4kg macebell and a 4.5kg gada, already thinking of getting persian meels too and a bulgarian bag. Is that an illness that i try to get more of this type of training tool ?
B-bags are overrated imo, these days I use them for weighted pushups when conditioning my knuckles. Meels are fun especially when you start flowing with them.

>>77324908
Compared to that guy, you have less muscle and more fat. You look like shit.
>>
>>77324970
ok you post body then

>>77324970
Sorry but I mog him hard. Also much taller(6'2)
>>
>>77324824
That's just because he's British. That's just how they look.
>>
>>77324824
He's a sexual tyrannosoraus
>>
>>77324768
For erectors just do rack pulls about an inch below the knee. So like 1.5x bodyweight up to 3x tops, really dont even need to go that heavy, 2x is probably fine to top out at. Do that for 3 sets of 8 and you will have good erectors for life. There just isn't a need to do heavier hinges than that, not all lifts have to progress.
>>
>>77323835
The issue with doing this shit with kettle bells is the grip is unnatural for swinging. You want to do this shit with something that allows for neutral grip like a sledgehammer or are.

Kettle Bells have their place but never do a crossbody swing with a damn kettle bells. You can't control the momentum.

attention whores can drop barbell on the floor to make the loud noise that completes their retarded screaming while doing the deadlift.
>>
>>77323835
One of the gayest movements and exercise equipment imaginable, imagine using a faggot equipment that you have to literally swing for momentum and fuck the air to get little to NO stimulus ur basically doing a gay p90x workout u look like a fucking fag
>>
>>77324860
Noob gains with a cut dude is a fucking faggot imagine taking those pictures and thinking they look good that's what capitalism does to a mf turns u into a fucking gagged faggot

>never do a crossbody swing with a damn kettle bells. You can't control the momentum
My PT makes me do those one knee on the ground and the other foot forward, knee bent. I learned the move with 6-8kg, got doms and could swing my 16kg kb at home. It's very good for what I have but my condition is 1/10000 ppl. Maybe one day I'll be able to do proper leg day. Til then it's meme exercises to learn to fire the muscles and then get them stronger. Oh, and I'm in constant doms.
>>
seems like a pretty good core movement if you're a boxer
