Just 5 minutes a day can change your body
Jumping rope is for women and children
>>77324883It's also good for musicians and boxers
>>77324881Anything less than 40 min is useless. 60 min is ideal.
>>77325315Nonstop?
>>77325315Daaaamn, how would you even do that?
Tips for double skipping? Should I be focusing on higher jumps or faster rope movement? I can usually only do around 5-7 before I land too heavy or lose the rhythm.
>>77324887Why musicians?
>>77325391Of course.>>77325400Just doing it?Like any other activity, start slow, add 5 minutes every week or so, have rest days. I started doing just 10 minutes and now I can do 60 minutes/8000 jumps nonstop. For reference I do it on my cardio days, which are alternate to my lifting days. >>77325411Slow down. Focus on your form. Do just one jump without double skipping then do another, and so on.
>>77324883>Mike Tyson and every heavyweight boxer is a woman/child
>>77324883Never wouldve gotten into it if it werent for boxing so i see why most people don't want to get into it. but jumproping is such an underrated cheap piece of a equipment. i find myself jumproping way more that using my $1000 concept2 rower.
>>77325927What differences in results do you find jump roping over running?
>>77326019Running is ideal, you work more muscles and I find it to be overall the best form of cardio/conditioning a person can do, like nothing beats sprinting. That said, I can rope jump literally in my room so I don't have any excuse not to do it. Convenience > All
>>77325438Increases kidney capacity
>>77325927>Like any other activity, start slow, add 5 minutes every week or so, have rest days. I started doing just 10 minutes and now I can do 60 minutes/8000 jumps nonstop.I would sooner die than do that kind of cardio.
>>77326109You wouldn't look less gay running outside in shorts like a retard, or even worse, indoors on a treadmill.
>>77326117What if I added a weighted vest that says "I'm Not" on the front side and "Gay" on the back so everyone knows I'm not gay?
>>77326019Imo it's better than jogging because it involves your arms as much as your legsI used to have a leather rope with weighted handles and that especially worked the armsAlso I'm confident it's easier on the knees, and definitely on the hip joints tooThat said, I dunno if I've really had visible results from it, but I do ~4 rounds to warm up before boxing training, if you treated it like a jog and did it for an hour straight maybe you'd see results, idk
I do 2 anime episodes worth on cardio days, indoor, ropeless. Hurts my feet if I'm too consistent even with shoes + foam mat + blanket
>>77326117>You wouldn't look less gay running outside in shorts like a retard, or even worse, indoors on a treadmill.Jokes on you. I only run naked.
>>77324881In a row?
Get heavy ropes like picrel they are better
>>77325438Makes pp bigger
>>77325438Rhythm probably. Rich Beato prescribes jump rope to all his students
>>77327037i like when his thumbnails are the oppenheimer meme
>>77324881Every day? RIP knees
>>77324881I do boxing rounds (3 minutes on, 30 seconds rest for 5+ rounds) or hiit training for like 10 minutes with it. Very convenient form of cardio, this plus incline walking got me shredded in a few months (in addition to the cal deficit and watching what i eat of course)>>77327067The calves and knees do take a beating, especially if you are fatter. You just have to start slow and maybe invest in a jump rope mat (especially if you jump on hard wood or concrete like I do).
>>77327459How many times a week are you jumping rope?
>>77327067lol you can easily jump rope everyday if you build up to it. same with running and lifting.
>>77324881terrible form in that photo
>>773276043 to 4 times a week on average but I've gone up to 6 a week for some periods where I was really focused on getting my cardio up. Overall, jumping rope and then taking the dog on a walk or 2 gets me to 8k steps pretty easy
>>77326019Minute by minute, about the same. But you can run for an hour at a time. Jumping rope for 5 minutes in a row is gruelling on the calves, so it's more intermittent.
