Is hybrid training objectively the superior way to train in 2026? You get strength, size, conditioning, athleticism, and actual work capacity instead of being a one-dimensional specialist.>Powerlifters can't run.>Runners can't lift.>Bodybuilders gas out climbing a flight of stairs.Meanwhile hybrid guys are putting up respectable numbers in all categories. At what point did being strong but having terrible conditioning become acceptable?
ya most likely.
>>77328074"Hybrid" training only works when you're roiding. This guy is running marathons while being like 200lbs with well above average lifts in his mid 30s
>>77328091Does he claim natty or open about what he does to stay in this shape?
Jack off all trades master of none
>>77328095story of my life
>>77328091you don't have to go as far as doing marathons. 5 or 10k runs are good enough desu especially if you got 20lbs of extra muscle compared to your typical runner
>>77328074Yeah general fitness is the way to go.Bodybuilding and powerlifting are both freak shows. You're not going to look like a body builder without steroids any how but moderate volume with some amount of targeted isolations and just a solid cardio routine will get you in great shape and maybe you can stop being a vain ninny.
No. As a natural you can't be a serious runner and also look jacked. You have to pick one. If you want to be good at running you have to look like a victim that's just reality.
>>77328074>be natty>lift all week squeezing out micrograms of gains>go on a catabolic 10k run and consume your muscle gainsMaybe beginners can get away with such retardation, but intermediates/advanced won't make gains while going for run PRsWanna go for a jog? Sure, that's fine, but if you wanna run for real then you have to pick one.Unless you're a snake oil salesman like guy in your pic taking roids
>>77328074>hybrid trainingnigger
>>77328074Sounds gay I'd rather lift and smoke weed
>>77328108Maybe ur mum will no longer want to deep throat my medium to acceptable sized but looks pretty good relative to my body cock if I lose my fat ass gains u fucking faggot don't want that to happen don't want to look like a running goon faggot nigger
>>77328146Sounded better in your head
Hybrid training is because people need something else to market to their 85-95 IQ audience after getting bored of faking going to the gym 3-4 times a week.
>>77328091Alan Thrall has the least roided body ever and is all about hybrid these days, he just put out a newly refined hybrid program in fact.

Probably best for longevity, and overall athletic capability. You can pick up anything and be good at it, built for endurance tasks like multi day hike trips, still strong enough to get respect from peers, can play any sport, etc. you also look better than most, certainly better than power shitters or endurance and cardio gays Where the drawback is your training can contradict each other and you’ll never be truly great in any pursuit which will grow annoying. This leads to a lot of coping I can run a sub 19 min 5k and bench 240. This makes me the strongest guy at run club and the fastest guy at the gym. But at the gym I’m DYEL and running I’ll never Boston qualify so end of day it’s cope
>>77328253You'll probably never break elite benchmarks in either without the genetics for it to begin with. Might as well do it all and see what you advance the easiest in. Is doubling down on running to get another minute off your 5k in a year worth it or adding half a plate to your bench more worth it? To me neither is worth that much because neither would put me in elite territory and I'd still be so far away from the specific strata of elites where I could make money doing it.
>>77328095This. Specialization beats generalization in any situation where you don't need to be a generalist just to survive.
>>77328074Is your goal to compete or to be fit?IMO an all around better trained athlete is just that, an all around athlete.
Anything works as long as you pin enough.
>>77328095>Jack of all trades is a master of none, but often times better than a master of one
>>77328074just do high rep burpees or KB swing. its that simple
>>77328094Debating Nick Bare's natty status has been on-going for like 5 years at this point. Obviously you should always be suspicious of influencers and supplement merchants (he is both).
>>77328095I'd say he's mastered the supplement industry, like a lot of other grifters out there.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TRF606mnT8
>>77328074...why are we acting like >lifting weights >and also doing cardio is some sort of revolutionary, newly discovered fitness technique? Am I missing something? Did I just stumble into an alternate reality where these activities were previously thought to be mutually exclusive?
>>77328253>I can run a sub 19 min 5k and bench 240I smell bullshit. Sub 20 5k is already hard as shit even for top 1% runners.
>>77328654Because running is not "some cardio". Doing frequent high intensity runs and trying to set PRs will absolutely interfere with your lifting performance.
>>77328095you are not a master of anything, your lifts/physique/times are mediocre at best and you are not the professional athlete elite, stop larping.
>>77328859>will absolutely interfere with your lifting performanceso what?
>>77328956Post body
>>77328962Post body
>>77328961So a lot of the work you put on lifting to make gains will go to waste.
>>77328964Post body
>>77328961>>77329005Not to mention the catabolic nature of high intensity running. Your body will absolutely burn through lean tissue to deliver energy after your glycogen is depleted.
>>77328859>>77329009someone better tell the rugby players
>>77329009>high intensity running>Your body will absolutely burn through lean tissue to deliver energy after your glycogen is depleted.embarrassingly retarded and uneducated claim.
Being strong both in weights and cardio is not some revolutionary concept. It's pretty standard for people who actual live a life and want a balanced physique and good overall health and performance.Don't kid yourself you were never going on stage at Mr Olympia, you were never winning worlds strongest man. You can and should do some cardio a few times a week. Claiming it would interfere with your 'gains' is just a fat fuck lazy cope. If you can't run 5k sub 25 mins you're a joke and can not call yourself fit by any standards.
>>77329009Glycogen is lean tissue, water is lean tissue tooYour body will never prioritize muscle over fat or carbohydrates for energy because it requires even more energy to break down these tissues and it's too heavy on your kidneys
>>77329300You're mostly correctAmateur lifters afraid of cardio are just lazy
>>77328074"Hybrid training" is marketing walk from the early days of crossfit and muscle confusion. There's no rules saying you can't lift some days and do a sport other days, and you should be doing cardio regardless. You gain raw strength through repeatedly picking up heavy shit and putting it back down. You gain coordination by practicing movements. Broadening the scope of the movements you practice is fine, ya know? But it doesn't give you superpowers or anything.
>>77328074You can't be an an elite level at lifting and be an elite level at running or vice versa.Pick ONE thing you want to be good at and supplement with the others for health reasons.Want to be a good lifter and have big muscles?Focus the vast majority of your time and energy at lifting and muscle building and recovering from lifting to build muscle with a once or twice jog a week for like 30 minutes for health. But don't worry about run times and marathons, you'll just be mediocre in both if your try too hard.Wanna be able to run marathons and have really good run times?Focus the vast majority of your time and energy at running and improving times and lift once every other week full body to a keep minimum of health muscle. You will never look like a bodybuilder who takes running seriously unless you take drugs.
>>77329300Post your "balanced" body
