I am really tired of being sad and lonely and just endlessly grinding in the gym. I heard bouldering is a good way to make friends and also meet cute girls to date. And I heard you can stay decently jacked while performing well there.
How much of this is true?
>>

It literally doesn't matter what sport you do. It's purely a matter of personality and attitude. However, it does seem like the kind of people who are attracted to competitive climbing/bouldering are more nervous types, not Chads and Stacies.
>>
>>77329652
Yea but the climbing community is notoriously left wing for some reason. So if you're a racist chudbro you won't fit in.
>>

>It literally doesn't matter what sport you do. It's purely a matter of personality and attitude.
not really, since some sports aren't solo activities and the gyms force you to interact

climbing you sometimes need to have a partner with the rope thingy
fighting gyms you need someone to spar with

etc.
>>
>>77329652
You will just be their ‘bouldering friend’ not their actual real friend. If you didn’t keep your friends from high school or college you won’t have real friends ever again

The point of bouldering is to climb as far away from people as possible to where other people can't reach you.

Any performative outdoorsy hobby other than survivalist stuff is full of leftoids. Camping, hiking, rock climbing, bouldering, mountain biking, thru hiking, surfing, etc. Not sure why as the rugged stuff used to be right wing I think but I'm guessing it has to do with treehuggers and hippies. Now I feel like rightoids are found in gyms and gun clubs. I dont understand how colorado became a hard blue state when all the other mountain states are hard red.
>>
>>77329667
Not just left wing but also very, very queer-coded. The rock gym I go to is, and I shit you not, predominantly LGBT. So depending on what kind of social life OP is looking to have, it might be perfect for their preferred type of faggotry.
From a fitness perspective, I personally enjoy the variety from the bodyweight work.
From a price perspective though, it's outrageous. I pay $35 for my normal gym and $125 for my rock gym. It's retardedly expensive.
>>
>>77329910
so u're literally hugging plastic dildoes with your bloody fingers that other sodomites hugged - no wonder it's bunch of hippies, it's dirty an unsanitary
>but i'm lonely
everyone is, some people are just coping

I blame John Denver
>>
>>77331292
Agreed. the country road should have led people off a cliff.
>>
>>77330493
If your fingers are getting bloody you might be doing it wrong. But yeah, you are dangling from little plastic handgrips. Usually there is a veneer of chalk on each which helps absorb any residual AIDS.
>>
>>77329800
Knew a back dude (Southerner) that met these types (transplants) while outside; when they started to go on about BLM type shit he didn't have the patience to explain black rednecks to them. Dude just wanted to fish.
>>
>>77331378
Filthy and unsanitary, holds have texture that's designed to dig into skin and abrede it, usually climbing is over as fingertips turn red, no, chalk does nothing to make matters any better - that chalk came off some sodomite's hands with his skin and blood

no, chalk does nothing to make matters any better - that chalk came off some sodomite's hands with his skin and blood

It always made me laugh when at ifsc comp sb was actually bleeding on wall and they ordered em to come back down and tape - like that doesn't happen by default in cloombing on micro scale all the time lol, but they want it to look nice
All about pretense - acne faced garnbret blabbering of rushing to draw blood for drug test during interview, did they caught anyone? No xD

I can't wait for the next bouldering thread with an inane time waisting question to pop up as soon as this one falls off the catalog.
>>
>>77330493
Wait till you learn about barbells and the types of people who bodybuild

This thread pops up once every 2 months. How many times are you going to do this?

majority of active/fitness people are leftist
happy people tend to not be racist or brainwashed by christian propaganda

Climbing gyms are a more social than regular gyms to be sure, although it really depends on your personality. Just being in that environment will make it more likely for you to strike up conversation and increase your odds, however, one of the issues I’ve noticed is that people tend to climb in groups a lot, and it’s very difficult to break into those groups as an outsider. Women at climbing gyms are almost always either in packs or with their boyfriends.
You have to understand you are going to try and break into friends groups that probably go back many years. Once people have already solidified a social circle, they’re very resistant to letting outsiders in, especially male. Its a lot like trying to make friends at work, it usually doesn’t go beyond surface level conversation, and afterwards they don’t want anything to do with you.
Just think about how most friend groups form. The vast majority of people don’t become friends through a deliberate conscious effort to make friends, rather, they become friends through happenstance, being in the right place at the right time and just clicking with eachother, usually in childhoods/teen years.
Just know that most people in their 20s already have their social circles figured out, so you’re going to be playing at a major disadvantage.
Charisma and being extroverted will always help in that sort of situation regardless though.

being a leftist does not immunize/exclude you from being racist......

100% agree with this. Unless the person you make friends with happens to be exceptionally open/social-able and invites you to hang out with his friends outside of the gym, you could easily become acquaintance-zoned and relegated to the bouldering reservation.
>>
>>77329652
You need to actually be able to talk to people. I have gone to the climbing gym many times, and every single time i talked to exactly no one im those 2 hours. At least your lats will be big though!
>>
>>77331839
Most of them aren't very happy, and probably are on SSRIs and regularly have to go to therapy just to get through the day

Pro tip: be the sociable person and invite people to hang out

Boulder and Denver merged.

half of the people i see at the rock climbing gym are visibly depressed leftists vs 0% of the people i see at church

Holy shit, this post reminds me how Americans are such stuck up cunts. Even going to Poland and Czech Repub, where I thought there'd be a bunch of stone-faced gopniks, had warmer people than the jewsa. Can't wait to leave this shithole with our plastic "friend groups" that all talk shit about each other and fuck each others gfs while somehow also being exclusive to outsiders. Glory to the Ayatollah of Iran

As if that's a problem
You have a regular activity with regular social interaction, and it's scoped so it only takes place during that activity
Don't feel like dealing with them? Don't go climbing that day. Harder to do with full-time friends that can text, call or drop by any time
Want to do something other than climbing? Suggest something and see who's up for joining you
>went camping and to the theatre with my own climbing acquaintances
>>
>>77329652
I hear they're pretty culty which mirrors my short experience with them back in my uni gym days.

Any sport that favors really small people seems to go that direction. Calisthenics/gymnastics, marathon+ runners (lanklets), climbers... They're all compensating because they have to tell people they workout since you wouldn't be able to tell otherwise.

The sport itself is fine and you can do it if you want. You just asked about the people and that's my honest view on it.
>>
Ive made a few friends, and gotten dates out of joining a climbing gym. It's been 3-4 years now and I'm better than 75% of normies climbers and can even flex on people. Best of all? I'm still 190lbs and muscular, so I didn't have to become a skeleton to become decent. I will likely never be able to climb some of the insane stuff, but I'd rather be generally athletic.

most leftists are dysgenic subhumans, mixed-race people have the highest suicide rates
