I can't seem to find any option that's 20 EUR/kg or less. Why is everything so fucking expensive?I remember years ago buying 5kg for 50 EUR at MyProtein now I'm struggling to find something that is DOUBLE that price and I'm considering that as a good deal even. Insane.
It is a good thing real food is all you need anyway, then.
>>77330043I just updated my food spreadsheet after my 10kg sack ran out. It's just cheaper to not use whey. Oatmeal, whole milk, eggs, rice and ground beef all the way.
>>77330043Economy's in collapse as we enter late stage anti-fascism.
The war will be over soon brother then everything will be fine
>>77330118It's amusing to me that you believe usa won't start 10 wars every year as it enters its death spiral
>>77330043Cost of transporting things went up, also GLP-1's are making people eat less but need more protein so maybe the demand is up. Just saw Costco's ON ~5lb bag at $75, I used to be able to see them for $54
>>77330129Also protein is trendy and being shoved into nearly every product in the supermarket which shoots up demand for milk, cows and feed which depends on fertilizer which depends on oil
>>77330043Whey is IN now. Makes sense as "protein" is what's fashionable and Whey is the proven superior protein source, most complete amino acids profile and most bio available. The price increase hasn't hit Egg or casein proteins much which are about par with Whey.Cheapest protein powder that is still very good is Onions. Despite, rhe superstition, it is at least 85% of "good" as Whey and half the cost. You can also just meat and milk...
>>77330142>>77330276Should it be cheaper since it is more popular?I don't fucking understand economy.Niche/scarce products are expensive.Popular products are also expensive.???
>>77330279Rams and cpus are in demandInstead of selling to retards like you, they sell to companies to make their shitty AI centers and for their general computer uses. Instead of getting to make your own AI generated low carbohydrates high protein pancakes, you log in into a convulted website with a shitty UI that does it for you for "tokens" that you pay real money for, except the pancake image is pre-generated you basically just pay to Access itYou're a worthless subhuman and wont do shit and will continue to pay for tokens that amount to more than whatever you wouldve bought a RAM with. Like the average person, you're a conformist subhuman.Hope this helps
>>77330279Supply and demand is a really basic concept anonBranding and premium products are more advanced but it's just supply being constrained to only coming from the specific brand that is desired
>>77330043Not really worth the cheap stuff. Whey is kind of ass not just the massive amount straight up lying and lack of quality control but the spray drying that turns it into a powder is hot enough to make the lysine (the most important amino for building muscle) bind to the lactose make large amounts of it not available. This means even it by some miracle had the amount of protein it said it did the best part of it was turned to shit in making it this is big part of why isolate and real food just go so much farther.
>>77330309Second most important*
>>77330279Snack companies are buying protein to put small amounts in their products so they can call it a 'protein food'
>>77330043I used to laugh at this pic many years ago but now I'm just jealous
>>77330309lysine is neither the most important (leucine) nor second most important (isoleucine) nor third most important (valine) amino acid in MPS. those are the big three. i'm also not sure the heat treatment thing you're describing is true (i.e. it gets hot enough but not for long enough to actually matter), though i'm not 100% surei do agree that going super cheap on whey is not a good idea, though. you risk more heavy metal contaminants, and while the amount of lying is imo overstated, it's best avoided by simply going with tested, reliable brands, whereas at the absolute bottom of the barrel price range it is indeed an issue
>>77330043cheap powders fail tests for contaminants and you don’t want to get stuck with a ton of product that tastes like shit or doesn’t mix well either, spend the extra money on a more expensive brand and you won’t regret it
It's way more expensive but not really a problem.>oh no my whey now costs £60 for 2kg instead of £40Non issue
>>77330043Protein powder gives me an excuse to eat ice cream
>>77330043I am australian.Recent;y I bought 13 1.5kg tubs of Vital Strength protein powder for $31/kg.Got it at Chemist Warehouse when they had a sale.My advice is to use chatGPT to scourer the internet for online options relevant to your location that are around the $35/kg price for a WPC. Alot of WPCs, such as mine, are still extremely lean.
>>77330840It makes it pointless. It's more expensive than actual food now that every fatty and e-thot drinks it for clout.
>>77330898>convience is pointlessbased minmaxer
>>77330880>My advice is to use chatGPTNo thanks, unlike you im not brown
>>77330903What convenience? It's decidedly less convenient than just keeping a few kg tubs of skyr in the fridge.
>>77330847Oh anon, if you have 1 cup of ice cream your nipples are gonna grow twice their size.
>>77330043Back in the late 90's someone at the gym gave me a phone number I could order and buy a bag of pure whey protein like picrel. It was something like $20 for the whole bag. Tasted horrible.
>>773308402kg used to be £20 before covid, maybe you weren't lifting back then so you don't know but it has literally tripled in price and it is only getting higher and higher every year. When will it stop?
>>77331289This is an order I had from 2019
>>77331309I remember getting these during their "promo" phase before they jacked up the price. Such a good deal
i was going to say that the answer is and always was Skyr... But... it no longer is. Because now even Skyr is increasingly missing from the shelves and the price has gone up. I used to buy 500g Skyr for 1 euro (55g protein). Suiciding the Trumpstein and getting rid of the two midget dictators in Eastern Europe can't come soon enough.

>>77330122Whatever you need to masturbate to, turdie.
>>77330289Have sex, loser.
>>7733004320kg worth like in the OP pic. 14.95 dollaridoos per kilo. those were the days. /fit/ was great back then too.
buy 30 chickens so you get like 30 eggs a day, then later down the road buy 2 rooster so you have 15-1 so you get more chickens then eat the rooster and when the babies get older seperate the roosters and now you can repeat forever its free eggs other than the coups you build. no need to pay for protein powder. you can do this with cows too raw milk is great
Cheap ones are cheap are a reason, they're dogshit quality and full of lead
>>77332166cope ruralfag
>>77332455Even with ISA Browns you're not going to get 1 egg per chicken per day. Around 250 per year is more realistic.
Get on a meal plan, seriously. Eat 50-70g worth of protein 2-3x daily, depending on your goal. Calculate how much meat you need to cook, and that's the base of your meal. Put sauce on it and make it a slop bowl. I usually do a bowl with 12-16 oz of ground beef, homemade sauce or chimichurri on top, a few green olives, some raw sauerkraut, maybe some leafy greens for digestion and satiety, and 2-3 servings of fruit. very easy and i usually don't need to supplement protein. you can also do it with 10-12 oz of boneless chicken thighs or a 12 oz can of tuna/salmon
>>77330043Whole food, friendo, you should try it
>>77332167Time to have gay sex with you
