I'm 38. I weighed 155 up until 33, then I went up to 185. I recently stopped drinking and do 45min cardio - 45min strength training 5x week. I dropped weight and gained muscle, total body recomp, and I'm at 170lbs. I'm more muscular now than back when I was in my 20s. Idk how the fuck I did that, but I just locked in and stayed dedicated. You can do it too.

no matter the macros it would be the same, just try to stick to your calorie deficit. calories are the ‘fuel’ when there is too much of it no matter the source you’ll get fat bcs body will then store the extra ‘fuel’ for surviving. if there is not enough ‘fuel’ body will then use its own (body fat) to sustain homeostasis and organ functions. no need to calculate every bite (maybe at the beginning to get the hang of what food is what) but later on it gets trivial. just treat food as numbers and stay within the calculated range. here is the formula for calorie INTAKE (for maintaining weight) for sb not very active. from that number you can cut more depending on your daily activity like steps and exercise. BMR = (10xBW(kg))+(6,25xHEIGHT(cm))-(5xAGE)+5[for women that would be -161]x1,3 (1,3 is my choice bc not multiplying the result would mean that you do literally nothing all day, zero steps house work etc which is impossible). good luck bro
