I'm doing a masters, but also have a full time job, my limited free time often goes to study, and do my house chores (and I still fail in the latter) so what can I do? If I have 1 hour per day to hit a gym it's a lot
you think you're only one who had a full time job and went to college? lolyou're not busy you're fucking lazy
Study less. The bar for your masters program must be low.
>>77334837>do masters in fitnessOR>have a full time job in fitnessProblem solved, you can do all 3
>>77334837Setting up a pull up bar at home and banging out a set every time you walk by it takes almost no time at all out of your day.
>>77334841Like I said, it's not only studying, I have house chores to do, I'm not being lazy, that's why I came here asking some orientation>>77334843It's specially because I'm not a genius that I have to study hard>>77334850I can't do a pull up unfortunately neither a push up before you ask, and yeah is that bad my situation
>>77334888>I can't do a pull up unfortunately neither a push up before you ask, and yeah is that bad my situationCalisthenics it is then, you can do them in-between study blocks, no point going to a gym if your baseline means pushups are challenging. I think someone studying for a masters degree can figure out how to start from 0 with calisthenics and work their way up. I would get a bar, do dead hangs, half pullups with controlled slow declines (even if it was one rep) to begin with, set of pushups until I was doing 50 or so, mix it up with pushup handles, find weighted objects to do squats and deadlifts with. You can do all this in your bedroom or outside near your place as a break in-between your studies
>>77334837You could do a 3 day per week program desu. Do a proper upper body day, a proper lower body day, and a barebones full body day. Could do like U/L on Saturday and Sunday and then do the quick full body day on like Wednesday. 2-3 sets pushed to concentric failure per muscle would work just fine. Superset where you can also. Antagonist supersets are great when you need to save time. Like doing pushdowns right after dumbell curls with no break between them. Likely could knock out each day in like 45 minutes if you keep the intensity to the ceiling
>>77334837superset dips and chin ups every other day. 5 sets each, you can do it in like a half hour. the rest is just eating healthy and being lean.
>>77334837You can train all of your muscles isometrically at home. Isometric exercises are just as effective as isotonic exercises are, the only problem is that you won't be able to see your progress like you would with isotonic exercises (where you'd eventually increase reps and weight). However, you won't risk injuries and you will be able to effectively stimulate muscle growth in very short sessions (i suggest 3 reps of 3 second maximum effort with 1 second rest in between each rep). There was a great video on isometric exercises by keenanrmalloy on tiktok but he deleted it after he had a freakout and it sadly seems to be lost media, however there are many other videos that you can see to get an idea of which exercises you could include into your program
>>77336383do not listen to this guy op
just do some body weight squats, push ups, and pull ups 1 set til failure every day, then go for a 30 min jog. do like 90 secs of planks.
>>77336387“saar dont listen to this guy saar” post your forearm pajeet. Isometric exercises are goated and there’s extensive evidence in the literature that they are as effective as isotonics are, and its exactly what OP needs in his situation.
>>77336383https://vm.tiktok.com/ZNR31yQ6C/this an example of what i mean by training isometrically, not the zumba mom workouts. You can utilize your walls, door frames, ground etc. to effectively train all of your muscles
>>77334837>Pushups 10min AMRAP>Pull-ups 10min AMRAP>Lunges 10min AMARAPThere's your 30min workout. Do that daily and go be a bitch somewhere else.>inb4 but that's not optimalIt's damage control.
get fit after you finish your masters. it's OK and in fact very normal to have a phase in your life where your physical fitness is not a priority.
>>77334888>I can't do a pull upAh so you're just finding excusesDo a bodyweight routine when you get out of bed, fix your diet, and find 30mins to walk regularlyReport back in 6 months
>>77336409>>77336402This and this. You do not have to be at peak gains every moment of your life.Get in good workouts when you can. Do damage control when you cannot. Stick to full body workouts always, because you do not know when your next good session will be and you don't want to have some massive timegap between pull sessions in a push/pull/legs routine, for instance.
>>77336402We dont live in 2010 anymore btw
>>77334837Work stretches into your morning routine. Get used to getting out of bed every morning quickly, no sleeping in. Start your day with just general stretches, make sure you touch on all major muscles, most muscle groups, all your major joints and tendons. Make sure you stretch/rotate your neck, shoulders, elbows, back, hips, knees and rotate your ankles. Keep yourself supple and start every day in a way that primes you for physical activity. You'll get more out of your exercise, you'll be able to exercise more quickly and easily and make more of your time, and maybe the energy increase will allow you to do more exercise in-between. Does your uni have a gym? If you can spare 20 minutes in the middle of your day, you don't have to go for a full session. Anything is better than nothing. Keeping up with the maintenance of your body with stretches and joint rotations will make it easier to do things like this on the fly.
>>77334888Not being able to do a pull up is understandable but not a single push yp? You’re a literal victim

>>77334837I am in the exact situation as you. Job, masters, exercising and chores.I wake up early(5:00AM) to train then clock in at work early to clock out early as well. I work on my mastes from 5:00PM to 6:30PM. I cook my chicken once a week and use a rice cooker to cook veggies as well.I do my chores on the weekends like cleaning and shit. Its tough but you can do it. Just be able to recognise when its getting too much for you.
>>77334837wake up earlier to make time for fitness. Surely you are not studying or working at 4am, and if you are, then wake up at 3am. Mark Wahlberg can do it, so can you.
>>77334837I gave up on the gym for now. I work 45 hoursa week and then work on my house after that until 8pm usually, so another 15-25 hours a week. And I have a lot of social and community obligations, and trying to grow my career, and keep time for hobbies. I run once a week for the mental gains mostly
>>77334837You know Anon, here is an old saying that was always true to me:>"If important to you, you will make the time for it".You just don't prioritize exercise as much as all this other shit you are doing. And thats fine, but don't pretend its impossible, you are just trying to justify to us (and to yourself) why you don't train more.
>>77334837really just have to squat heavy once a week to grow stronger. Ideally 3 times. You sure ur not playing fortnite when your free or whatever ur current favorite video game?
>>77334837That's a fucking heavy workload, anon. Good on you for managing your work, study, and home life where you can; no mean feat. If you can train, say, 3 days a week on a split routine in that hour you could be golden. Does uni have a gym? If so, bring achange of clothes and towel etc. but obv this requires to prepare the night before (this is where a clean and orderly house will work to your benefit). If this is likely too much, for the time being look into feeder workouts (see: Rich Piana). High rep (up to x100 for 3 sets), light weight. You can buy a couple 5kg dumbbells for this and do them at home first thing or at night. Up to you. However, rest is important for you right now, and juggling full time work and a masters probably means for now you need to direct your energy into those. At least during semester. At the very least, a 15-30 minute walk in a park will help you de-stress and is better than a hole in the head. Don't think "forever", think "for now".
>>77334837I worked 12h per day and did my exercises like pull ups, dips, pushups, rows and handstands at work. You can always fit it somewhere, fuck your greedy boss on money, make the most out of something as miserable as a job
>>77334837>>77337045Masters in what?
>>77334837>house chores (and I still fail in the latter) ? That's like 6 hours every Saturday; dishes, laundry, sweep, vaccum, wipe, meal prep.I like to set a timer and do a short circuit every 15 or 20 minutes.
>>77337254in pussy
>>77337254the blade
2 hours per day 4 days per week is pretty much optimal but even just 1 hour just 1 day per week is enough to just be fit and strong. Simply put, you’re full of shit if you’re going to tell me you don’t have even a single hour to go do a a few compound lifts.
>>77337254In math, my supervisor is patient with me as she knows my masters isnt my main prio. Will probably finish it in 3 years from now or next year if I dont have a job anymore.>>77337603>>77337620i fucking wish kek
