After years of insomnia, fatigue, and major anxiety I am quitting caffeine. I drank anywhere from 400-700mg a day. What am I in for over the next couple of days.
you're going to be a moody bitch, maybe get some headaches.make sure to drink plenty of water and you should be good again in a few days.
>>77335095well hopefully you're sleepy while crossing the road and get blown across the intersection so we can avoid these type of posts
>>77335102How about you post your address and I come blow you asshole out and you can make a post about how long does withdrawal from my massive cock last.

This is a pretty good thread for /fit/ nowadays
Fuck this shit nigga Im gonna drink 2L of diet cock
Just taper down 25% at a time if you don’t want to battle the withdrawals. Mostly the headache sucks because you know exactly how to make it go away. You will sleep way better but still be tired anyway for awhile. I’ve had a fever and bodyaches when I quit cold from drinking 400ish mg daily.
>>77335095You will have a headache the first day and be tired for a couple weeks after that. After about a month you will feel "normal" again. It's not some amazing revelatory feeling of sobriety though. You generally just feel kind of meh most of the time and get tired more easily. You are less likely to feel burnt out and fatigued though.
There is a case to be made that humans evolved to consume caffeine. We tolerate it extremely well and there are basically no negative health consequences from consuming it daily. Humans and coffee come from the same part of Africa. We have probably been consuming it for millions of years.
>>77335095dont do it ull gain 10 kg
>>77335095Withdrawl sucks a bit and your probably feel a little sick but it fades away pretty fast. Caffeine is easy to quit when you actually try
>>77335304We haven't been around for "millions of years" you unga bunga fanatic
>>77335304This isn't a caffeine hate thread. Caffeine is great. I'm just a retard who can't stop myself from drinking copious amounts of it. Im taking ADHD meds instead as it does what caffeine does but much better and I can sleep on them.
>been through severe alcohol withdrawal, puking hallucinating and unable to sleep for 5 days straight>watched people go through benzo withdrawal that had them bed-ridden for weeks>once had a headache and was a little cranky for a couple days after stopping coffee after drinking a pot a day for years, turned out that was caffeine withdrawalI can not take people complaining about this seriously, it's nothing. Less than a cold. The only people I know IRL who complain about caffeine withdrawal are the same people who self-diagnose with chronic fatigue syndrome and fybromialgia. Literally just take some ibuprofen and drink some diet coke or something lmao.
>>77335354OK Timmy tough knuckles. You remember to apply some anulsol today.
>>77335361I'm sorry you're so inconvenienced by the big bad headache from not getting your bean water that you need to use a basket weaving forum for support
god i love coffee
>>77335365I'm sorry you are a faggot.
>>77335365How many cm of cock do you throat daily and is it proportional to the amount of coffee you drink
op, or anyone who wants to quit, just go buy a bag of decaf that taste good and have 2-3 cups a day of that. when it runs out just don't buy anymore.there's actual studies that show you'll skip all the withdrawal symptoms besides being tired until your brain and body readjust.
>>77335379any decaf that doesnt taste like shit?imo most of them will never taste as good as actual coffee
>>77335386Berres Brothers Highlander Grogg. Can not recommend it enough.
>>77335386I like Peet's Major Dickinson's Blend
I was addicted to caffeine as well. I would have mood changes and withdrawal symptoms if I tried to go without it. It’s not in the same level as alcohol, tobacco, or powerful drugs. But I didn’t like the idea of needing a foreign substance (typically three Monsters a day) to maintain normalcy, so I quit. I haven’t had a caffeinated drink (including naturally occurring caffeine like tea or coffee) in over 18 years. I can’t attest my well-being to just being caffeine-free, but:>I don’t have that 2pm crash everyday, and when I do it’s not nearly as bad as many seem to complain about>it only takes me maybe 10 minutes after getting out of bed to go from sleepy to fully alert>I fall asleep within minutes of putting my head on the pillowThese seem to be things people struggle with that are directly tied to caffeine consumption.
>>77335386i went through two small bags of "fair trade" decaf that i think was a french roast. i just chose it because all the other options in my local grocery didn't look appealing. it was fine, nothing spectacular. i'd make a french press once a day and had no real withdrawal symptoms of note. if you look on reddit i'm sure those neurotic weirdos have lists up the ass of good decaf. desu i'm no expert on coffee despite having drank it heavily for 19 years until i quit.
>>77335304>Caffeine zombie cope. This is what happens to you when you drink coffee every single day. You will struggle to even get out of bed if you try to quit.
>>77335095Does coffee give anyone else uncontrollable diarrhoea? I can't function at work anymore because of it and I've constantly been skipping the gym>inb4 energy drinksI do that too and have the same issues
>>77335095>dayslol>>77335301>After about a month you will feel "normal" againthis
>>77335095Fasting helps with caffeine withdrawal.Caffeine works with your adenosine receptors. You drink it again and again and again and again, it changes how your adenosine receptors work. The negative side-effects of drinking caffeine regularly are due to this. Caffeine tolerance is also due to this. Withdrawals are also due to this, because they will start to work in a way that depends on caffeine. When you don't have the caffeine, they don't work properly and it takes time for them to start working normally again. When you fast, your body moves away from using glucose as a source of energy. Glucose is managed by insulin, so your body changes where insulin goes and what it does. One of the things your body uses to do this is adenosine receptors. No matter how fucked they are from being bombarded with caffeine, changing your insulin during fasting is extremely important to your body, so it very quickly starts to adjust them so it can use them properly for this.Obviously it doesn't fix them instantly, but you will probably only experience 20% of the withdrawals you normally experience after fasting. Go for at least 18 hours, at most 36 hours.
>>77336593anon im 10 % bf im not fucking fasting...
>>77336548i usually liquid shit and fart myself in the morning after the first cup but after that im fine
>>77335095For a good week or two, you’ll crash early in the day and feel tired and fatigued, and your sleep will probably get worse. Personally, I never got withdrawal headaches; I was just a bit grumpy and very tired. The problem is, even if you return to your baseline energy levels, they will subjectively feel lower than what you were used to. You’re better off using caffeine as a tool in the morning and then making sure you have your last bit of caffeine about 10 hours before bed.
>>77336597I guarantee you're not ten percent body fat
>>77335304Whites and Africans evolved separately with no common ancestor.
>>77335349Same. Wellbutrin.
>>77335423Defaf has caffeine
400-700mg? that's not even half a cup dumbass
>>77336766Correct, because 400-700mg is nearly 5-10 cups of coffee.
Can't get withdrawals if you never stop, bitch nigga.Everything in life is addictive. Pick your poison. I'm low carb so can't eat sweet treats, no doughnuts, no cake, no sweeties, no ice cream... I like those things but is the 10 minutes of gratification worth the after effect? No. Same with nicotine, same with alcohol, same with caffeine. But I need something. Where does it end? You go and live like a Tibetan monk and deny any and all transient pleasures? No you pick something and go 'that's gonna be my poison' and you enjoy it.Every man needs a vice. Hell maybe I'll have several why not. Gotta die some day.
>>77335095>I am quitting caffeineTake it down to 150mg retard. You don't need to quit.
>>77335354>drink some diet cokeIt has caffeine.
>>77336993Yeah thats the point
>>77335113
>>77335304My ancestors absolutely did not come from africa especially subsahran africa
>>77335095lmao embarrassing post. just stop drinking it if you want, were you asking permission?
>>77337612This faggot reported it
>>77337760I didn't, but its interesting that you call someone a faggot because you think they reported a dick picture from a blue board. Already miss the dick, huh?
Remember - the withdrawals are you feeling the adenosine in your brain all at once because the dopamine receptors are turning back into adenosine receptors without the caffeine. It takes less than a week for it to clear out, but it'll take a month at least to get your caffeine tolerance back, if thats whay youre looking for.
>>77335095Good. I'll double my dose to compensate for what you're doing.
I see no difference on or off coffee
>>77337782Yeah I do miss the dick you stupid faggot. There's nothing wrong with looking at a dick every now and then. Only a faggot reports it because it triggers there repressed homosexuality and causes an automatic defensive response to surpress the conscious realization they are in fact a faggot. And this response has manifested in you reporting it
>>77335095Nothing will change in the long run, you are who you are. I've done this and after a couple months I was still the same. When I started drinking a soda again, I didn't even notice a change. It's all in your head.
Massive headaches. Your body also uses magnesium in order to process caffeine, so get some electrolytes you can mix in water to chug on the sideline.
I've found I even have to taper 1 cup to 1/2 and then 1/3 to avoid the headaches completely.I can go from 3 cups to 2 to 1 but then I have to water it down more.
>>77335095Clarifying question: is all or most of your caffeine from coffee?Coffee is great but there are studies coming out about how caffeine from hot coffee hits different than cold beverage caffeine. Notice how you have to poop right away with hot coffee but not iced coffee or red bull, despite the same if not higher caffeine amount? It may not be that your addicted to caffeine, but to the stimulating effects of hot coffee. If that's the case, switching to cold beverage caffeine can help you taper down instead of cold turkey.
>>77335095Amazingly restful sleeps. Also, headaches. Take tiny amounts of caffeine to alleviate.
