I get bread that's 90kcal, 6g fiber and 11g protein per slice. Shit tastes good, too. Too bad it's $7 per loaf and the loaves are pretty small. Worth it though imo.

I also generally eat most of my carbs in the evening.. Throughout the day I only eat carbs in meals that also have a decent amount of fat which helps prevent energy crashes for me.
There's a chance I might be prediabetic or smth though cuz carb-heavy meals genuinely make me feel miserable, especially if I have fucking oats with fruit for breakfast or smth. Makes me anxious and super tired

Low carb works well for me. Makes it effortless to stay lean and clears up a bunch of other issues. I do miss tasty treats, but really they're such short term gratifications that they're not worth indulging in.
I get around 100g net carbs daily from fruits and vegetables. No grains, no refined carbs... Only starches like sweet potatoes, root veg, small amounts of fruit and berries. If I don't get something like a sweet potato in at dinner and then run intervals the next morning it feels like I've got a flat battery.
I'm in the sweet spot here, just enough carbs to hit intense workouts, low enough to stay lean, grow muscle and have great skin.

I did it on and off for 5 yrs, fairly strict. The ketones are like a stimulant and being wired up 24/7 makes you kinda kooky after a while.. Ketosis feels almost exactly like being on a light dose of Adderall all day every day. I think doing keto for like a month, a couple times a year is fine and can be useful for more than weight loss, like if you need to buckle down at work or school.
