Going to the gym made me realise how of strength is just straight up CNS adaptations. I see so many dyels lifting heavy ass weights and still look scrawny.
>inb4 2p8 OHP is subhuman tier
But that also made me realise how heavy and hard you have to lift in order to fill out a shirt.

I don't
>>inb4 2p8 OHP is subhuman tier
What are you talking about. I've never seen someone OHP 2 plates IRL
Also you're just wrong, increasing muscle is the main driver of strength increase
>>
>>77337881
Most people don't lift heavy enough or leave too much in the tank. You get depression, poor sleep, stress whatever bs the whole neuromuscular stuff gets down regulated enough that you usually can't get enough stimulation out of normal quantities of sets. So your options is leave nothing like pause sets nothing left. You rep until you're getting singles.

Or you go heavy which does the same thing just a little more predictably if it's at or above your 5 rep max it's all doing something even it you leave a lot in the tank.

I'm not from India

That's true but they still look scrawny and DYEL. At least, /fit/izens would call them dyel.

Just bench 3 plates for a shitty chest theory?
>>
>>77337881
>lifting heavy ass weights
Like, what are "heavy ass weights"? 5 sets of 20 at 20 pounds on the calf raise machine?
>>
>>77337926
No, you don't ego lift you just lift heavy. If you can't lift it 5 times with fullish range of motion, good form and normal tempo don't lift it. From there you can do 3 or 4 reps with it rest and do however many sets it takes you get 12 or more reps and you're good.
>>
>>77337881
Ok but what is wrong with CNS adaptations?
>>
>>77337961
100kg ohp for reps
>>77337984
Nothing, it's just that I've realised that CNS is the main thing for strength. Even in my case, my body barely changed at all but I am able to do 30kg pull ups. I wasn't able to do a single body pull up 2 years ago.

Post video evidence of 2pl8 OHP in your gym, timestamp, no fake plates.
>>
>>77337926
Post your 2pl8 ohp or you are indian.
>>
>>77338024
I'm indian living in norway.
>>
Wait dyels here really think 2pl OHP is something exceptional?
AHAHAHHAHAHAA
>>
>>77338077
you can't do that, stop lying
>>
>>77338078
Yeah, I can do 240lbs so even higher
>>
>>77337991
No
>dyels [who] still look scrawny
press 100kg for reps. Not one. I'm the only person I know who presses 100kg for reps, and I'm not a "scrawny dyel".
>>
>>77337881
>I see so many dyels lifting heavy ass weights and still look scrawny.
I don't. It's always the dyels doing baby weights for volume. I know you can go online and look top 1% elite powerlifters that are skinny-looking (just in clothes) putting up heavy weight, but you don't even know in those cases that they aren't dense as fuck. Then you have to completely ignore people like Klokov or those Chinese weightlifters. Yeah, it's steroids, but so is bodybuilding.

Bodybuilding is big weights for big reps.
>>

fuck off idiot

>Bodybuilding is big weights for big reps.
This. There are no weak bodybuilders. There are a handful of dudes who spammed enough roids and high volume lifting to have built some muscles. But all actual big guys lift big big weights.
>>
>>77338684
Yeah, I did mention that in end, that you need to lift very heavy weights for reps to fill out a shirt, though, size is mostly determined by genetics.

this thread is so incredibly stupid it feels like it's demoralization agents arguing with AI bots

I didn't even read the thread but all I can say is that the OP image makes me go ''hell yeah, motherfucker''
