Consdering that fasting doesn't make you lose muscle if you are above 10%, why can't I:>Bulk with a surplus big enough to gain 3~4 pounds of weight per month>Fast a few days to lose 2~3 pounds of fat after every month?Max my time on that sweet caloric surplus for performance and general wellbeing, and also minimise my time on caloric deficit with all the physical and mental decline that come with it.
>>77338056Simple, because your statement has no scientific bearing and isn't accurate
>>77338056You can. Feast or famine. It works
>>77338056Yes you can just do that and it works fine.Fasting can be a little less effective than usual after a big bulk though since your glycogen stores are maxed out and you have a lot of protein that stays circulating for a while, so it might take a single extra day of fasting than what you would expect. From your body's (really your liver's) perspective the marker for whether you're "fasted" or not is not calories, but protein. So if you eat low to zero protein on the day before fast, they fast will work better. Better yet, you don't necessarily need to fast, just eat zero protein, low fat and high carbs
>>77338774>low fat and high carbs>just like fastingJewish hands typed this post.Do not believe this trickery.
>>77338888nice digitsI'm not saying it's just like fasting, it's just an alternative cutting strategy. I decided to mention it since I was already talking about protein restriction. If you only care about fat loss, as long you haven't eaten protein you don't necessarily have to fast, and once you're doing the protein restriction you have to choose whether you're high fat or high carb. Evenly eating both macros gives you the worst of both worlds instead of the best and most people don't find chugging oils and fats palatable, hence the high carb recommendation.
>>77338888He's deliberatelly inverting the truth, if you wanna eat someting instead of fasting and still be close to the results of a fast, you have to eat only protein, like in a PSMF/RFL.And about his point on glycogen, if you are that neurotic about it, you can just do a few days of low carb and do the glycogen depletion workouts from Lyle's UD 2.0. Done, you enter the fast fully depleted of glycogen on the muscles.
eat big
>>77340676Then eat nothing
>>77338056>Consdering that fasting doesn't make you lose muscle if you are above 10%, why can't I:It does but whatever makes you sleep at night. Essential amino acids aren't synthesized from fat you fucking idiot.
>>77338774this is the truth, but people here are not ready to accept protein restriction.
>>77341800I'm pretty sure he was referring to the fact that ketogenesis is muscle sparing. He's still wrong, but I don't think he was implying what you're saying.
