Would you guys be interested in a renewed sticky? What would you like to see in it?
>>77338611>would...not really>what...as I said, not really interested in a new one
>>77338611half-naked men with muscles
>>77338611I already know everything so just delete itAnd fuck dyels noobs, let them suffer
I would like to see more science based information
>>77338611why? as if the principles change. The sticky is the only thread that should stay up if you ask me
>>77338611Sticky did work for me. Its fine as it is.
>>77338611just a link to mike israetel's youtube channel with a .gif of his face spinning hypnotically
>>77338611No one has ever read the sticky on any board ever.
>>77338611Race realism
>>77338611two dinosaurs
>>77339545Based
>>77338611Actual theory with citations and not just links to the mod's favorite youtubers. Every fucking fitness forum does this and there is even a calisthenics subreddit that makes it mandatory to watch some vegan street workout guy to post there.>urghhh that doesn't exist everyone is special and unique yadda yaddaIt does exist you just have to read one of the 3 (three) books that compiled all the information.
>>77338611stuff on mogfagmaxing?
>>77338611don't bother nobody reads the sticky

>>77338611>hyperlink for what a powerlifting block is and how to add auxiliary work>general strength programs and other beginner programs>hypertrophy programs and how to bring a muscle up asap>a clean diet table of contents including rest and optimal periods that you need ti recover strength or when is optimal to lift too much like for bodybuilding for optimal muscle buildingI didn't even read it for a few years but it could be way simpler probably.
idgaf but they should probably update the one on /o/ if they haven't. last time I checked it was still giving advice for buying cars like it was 2010. Like yeah bro I'll just buy a mint cavalier for 1500 loonies bro, no prob.
>>77339959I think thateveryth8ng being bundled together like >>77339967 would be especially productive for beginners and intermediates on how to start training more efficiently. For example, if you are lifting like youre bulking or vice versa it's a whole different style of training just like peaking your strength for 2mo vs having multiple reset periods to rest for a week or so and overloading volume while the comp is far out.
>>77339926>theory and citationsLmao are you the post body guy?
>>77338611But honestly if the sidebar was sick amd concise enough to be followed unlike more than half of lifting programs, it'd be a nice touch.
>>77339972You could just put a quick start guide/recommended beginner routine up there too. Like the first 8 weeksmachine benchleg presslat pull/pullupmachine pressa rowMacros at a glanceI think assuming everyone that washes up here is a beginner is probably why our sticky is so shit in the first place (apart from not being maintained or updated at all)
>>77339985What I'd do as a beginner is 2 separate barbell lifts instead of machines and shit. The sooner you can nail 5 heavy sets of bench the better.
>>77339991Honestly images would be the best imo
>>77339991The first 6-8 weeks it's almost all neuromuscular adaptions. There's little point in doing something as unproductive and unstable as compounds that early. Just get them in there get them doing something where form is easy and they might get reasonably close to failure without hurting themselves. Then shift towards barbell or dumbell compounds which will still take a while to perfect form on but it's benefitting them from there on out and they at least have a clue where failure might be so they don't choke themselves.

>>77338611A picture of youre mom for test boosting reasons
>>77338611No. Took me years to get them to bring back the old sticky. Why must everything be in a constant state of upheaval? Anything other than what we've got is a step down. The real problem is that basic questions are no longer met with "READ THE FUCKING STICKY" because bots and other malicious actors are not interested in getting fit. In fact, they want to destroy everything good about this place.
>>77340199change is a universal constant, nothing ever stays the same
>>77338611Wanna look like a bodybuilders?train like a body builder2 workouts of 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps on each muscle group, twice a weekwanna look like a fat fuck with a square body shape and lower back or shoulder injuries ?do barbell training wanna train like an athlete? play sports, do cardio etc Remove the shit about cutting, recomp, and bulking cause none of that shit matters unless youre on steroids Remove shit about calories in calories out
sticky should include a basic brosplit/ppl routine for new starters because my routine thread was full of faggots making fun of/mocking me instead of rec'ing a damn routine
>>77338611>What would you like to see in it?links to underground labs
Just link Lyle’s website at this point. There is a great series there for beginners
Fitness is one of those things where people are prone to analysis paralysis and where they think they need to know every intricate detail, otherwise, they believe they won’t make any progress and will just be wasting their time. They want to optimize everything before they’ve even covered the basics. That’s why the sticky shouldn’t even steer them in that direction; it should motivate them to get started right away, simplify their decision-making, and really just focus on the core principles and the 80/20 rule.
>>77338611Did you not notice? 4chan is fucking dead.
>>77340341which one is that? they all seem to be the pinnacle of bodybuilding

>>77340341Same issue as the sticky desu lot of dead links and lost functionality. He has a lot of articles that are still in the index but are missing or otherwise unavailable.
It's too biased towards strengthfaggotry. I'd mention Arnold's Encyclopedia or PPL as an alternative entry point to SS SL etc. A bit more depth in the cardio department would also be good.
yeah lets get rid of the last decent post in this shitholegreat idea retard
