I promised to post update. Last time you told me 5-15 more pounds to go until I was shredded. Now I'm down another 7 lbs and still nothing. I just feel like getting smaller and smaller.

6 ft and 187 lbs today. Pic from august 2025 is 220 lbs.

OP here. Thank you for your replies fellow internet users. Maybe I have been too harsh with myself.

What bodyfat percentage do you think I am at? I have a 33 inch waist and 17 inch neck. Navy bodyfat calculator says 12% or something like that but I figure this is way too low. Can't be arsed to pay for DEXA or fuck around with calipers.

As the percentage of fat you have on your body goes down, the results will be more and more rapidly noticeable. Also, if you are cutting carbs aggressively you will appear to have less muscle as the tissue is no longer holding onto water. Keep at it, switch back to maintenance for a bit, and you'll instantly look better.

Routine, diet, sleep
Any one being subpar will screw you at that age
Dieting on a calorie deficit tends to deflate ppl because in addition to losing fat, they lose intracellular glucose in the muscle and glycogen, both sources of "water weight"
Your carbs are probably too high so you are just depleting those glucose and glycogen stores then filling them right back up. Effectively spinning your wheels.
Also 40+ you are gonna lose muscle easier so if you are lacking on protein and lifting then you're gonna have a bad cut and lose actual muscle not just fat and water weight.
Losing fat while 40+ be like that tho
So you can do maintenance for a bit and work on growing your abs so you look leaner at a higher bf or tighten your food, sleep and routine up even more and keep grinding the cut
On the positive side it looks like you lost a decent amount of visceral fat which is super unhealthy to have
