>>77340231I think the "neurodivergence" disorders are very clearly socially caused. Like an ipad toddler raised on 30 second short-form content is going to have no attention span in school. I know it's not scientific but I just cannot take biological explanations seriously because the most obvious thing is right in front of you. Same with OCD and Anxiety, since there are clear analogues in society, like the constant anxiety of making sure you're "optimizing" your life in terms of job movement, investments, family growth ect along with the ever-looming fear of homelessness. I just don't believe you can take a pill for that, and there was some paper I read that ADHD medication doesn't "rewire" anything and it is literally just a strong stimulant.
