I do Lindy Hop. It's a great social scene, really bouncy and fun dance. Anecdotally, it does seem like overweight people are a lot rarer in the scene so it does something for you. I play it around with some tdee formulas a few years back and came to the conclusion that doing something like dancing twice a week probably makes a 20 lb difference in what weight you would stabilize at if nothing else changed about your life.
