currently a 21

longevity studies show that people entering old age with a little extra weight tend to live the longest, so my plan is to get to a 24 with a 10-12% body fat and then bulk up to a 25 or a 26 by 60 and then try and maintain that and shatnermaxx

I'm 6'6 and used to be around 170 out of high school, I was at least average strength for a teenager and certainly not unhealthy. I should have been bigger though and looked pretty slim. I'm 220 now at about 15% and trying to trim the fat. Realistically very few nattys have enough muscle mass to justify a 25+ BMI, it's always better to be lean.
>>
>>77342346
things are deceptive when you're that tall, I know some guys that are big all around but I also have a 6'5" friend who looks really thin and yet he's very athletic and plenty strong, one time we were sparring jokingly and his punches would hit very hard

28 BMI, 6'0, natty. I haven't been below 25 BMI since I was a teenager.

I usually walk around at like 100kg but cut down to 91.4kg for a weighted Cali comp. Now I quite like being that little bit leaner even just for the summer.
>>
>>77342371
Based

What’s your kcals and macros to maintain that?
>>
>>77342373
To be honest I'm not exactly sure, although I have started counting my calories since I've been cutting. On the cut I was on like 2500 give or take, with absolutely shit loads of protein (I'm talking 250g a day). Now I eat the same amount of protein but try and keep cals to around 3000.

The thing is though I almost eat somewhat like I'm on a cut during the week and then drink a million beers on the weekend.
>>
>>77342387
Fair enough
It seems low to me, I’m 6’4 85kg and my maintenance kcals is 3600-3800, similar body fat % to you
>>
>>77342371
you look insane
>weighted Cali comp
do you do a lot of weighted calisthenics as part of your training or is it mostly an accessory to normal lifting?
>>
>>77342346
>Realistically very few nattys have enough muscle mass to justify a 25+ BMI, it's always better to be lean.
You're not going to carry the muscle mass if you're focused on being lean. What's wrong with being 15-20%? You can carry way more muscle that way than at 10-12%.
>>
>>77342371
absolutely insane. what are your lifts?
And where is that stupid piece of shit insisting everyone with a 'fat' BMI is fat?
>>
>>77342402
I train pretty much exclusively weighted Cali, don't really even bench any more. I do lateral raises, curls and tricep extensions as accessories. For squats (one of the streetlifting lifts), I literally just do squats lol. Squatted 250kg in the last comp and got a 100kg chin up

>>77342430
100kg weighted chin up
100kg dip (failed 112.5)
21.25kg weighted muscle up
250kg squat
>>
>>77342392
I think the beers and pizza on weekends ups the average cals per day significantly, hence poverty cals over the week. When I just eat what I want I quickly end up cruising over 100kg. Still lean and jacked at that weight but I'd prefer to stay roughly this lean.
>>
>>77342369
It used to irritate me a lot because I often got ridiculed for being so skinny, even to this day people will comment about how skinny I am in a mean sort of way even though I'm overweight as per BMI now.

>>77342427
At my height a bit of padding becomes skinnyfat immediately, I already look much worse than I did at 200lbs 10% fat. I look slim either way but at least I have definition and abs at ~10%. But even for normal people I think you might be 20% stronger but lean you look 50% better. Depends what you want I suppose. I'm moderately strong, nothing crazy but realistically what do you gain from being able to bench 3pl8 instead of 2? Most people benefit more from being more mobile, increased endurance, and better aesthetics.
>>
>>77342430
>And where is that stupid piece of shit insisting everyone with a 'fat' BMI is fat?
Everyone but the roiders my man.
>>
>>77342564
This stupid chart actually expects a 5'10 man to be 130 pounds. Like a literal teenage girl weight. It's trying to turn people into trannies.
>>
>>77342488
>100kg weighted chin up
>100kg dip (failed 112.5)
holy shit, mad impressive
>>77342562
I'm surprised that at 220lbs you still get called skinny, it's harder to look buff when you are tall but at that weight I seriously doubt that you look emaciated in any way
>>
>>77341634
You cared enough to reply, loser.
>>
>>77341524
Why not?

Obviously such a person wouldn’t be strong, but being on the far low end of the BMI range doesn’t carry negative health effects like being in the high end. You have to be insanely skinny to start to suffer from cardiovascular issues, hormonal imbalances, immune system issues… Generally it’s a secondary sign; not eating enough leads to vitamin deficiencies, but being skinny in and of itself isn’t a health concern. And you have to be insanely skinny for that to become an issue.

Being fat is a problem. Just dipping your toes into the BMI >25 range puts you at risk of a slew of really nasty stuff, like cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, or having a beer gut. Labeling someone as “underweight” is generally fatgirl cope.
>>
>>77342427
Because you look like a fat sack of shit and you fucking know it, fat boy.
>>
>>77342621
The chart is health oriented, not socially oriented. A man that slim will look terrible but won’t be at risk of health issues due to his weight.
>teen girl weight
Teen girls shouldn’t weigh more than 115lbs. Anything beyond that is too fat or giraffe tier (ew).
>>
Just had my physical, 19 bmi, having abs is cool!
>>
>>77342984

regardless, that physique is obvious a true BMI exception. a lot of people think they are exempt from BMI measurements when they have nothing close to this physique
>>
>>77341390
I am 6ft168lbs 12% bf and I can't even bench 2pl8. According to this I can only add another 17lbs of muscle well alright typing this out 17lbs is a lot have a good day
>>
>>77342984
>The chart is health oriented, not socially oriented. A man that slim will look terrible but won’t be at risk of health issues due to his weight.
Yes he will. Carrying some mass is good for you. Slightly overweight people have a lower mortality rate than rregular weight people, and underweight are much worse.

It's based on the actual amount of muscle a normal moderately active person has (very little), plus a small amount of fat, like 10-20%. Most people massively overestimate their muscle to fat ratio.

>Still haven't found a BMI replacement?
Look at BMI, body fat percentage, and waist circumference to height ratio at a minimum; I'm at 28, 10% and 33"-to-73" or 0.452. BMI alone would say I should cut, while the other two metrics say I'm totally fine.

Run lipids n HbA1C n hs-CRP n shit if you're a real biomarker autist with extreme diabetes anxiety or something.

No one ever believes me but I'm literally natty, but believe what you want if you need to cope. I'm not claiming it's all hard work, my genetics are clearly good.
>>
>>77343181
Being slightly underweight is a predictor of longevity.
>>
>>77344676
>slightly underweight
>being teen girl weight
And that's not even considered underweight, the chart has it as "optimal"
>>
>>77344857

A normal teen girl is like 90 lbs
Your mind has been completely distorted from reality

>>
>>77341390
I don't have enough muscle or strength. If I cut to below 15% bodyfat I'll just look like an emaciated twink. Therefore I'll continue to leanbulk until I can lift at least moderately respectable weights and then I'll cut.
>>
>>77344915
Thats cool I was just letting you know
>>
>>77344676
No, it isn't you moron. Underweight is the worst thing you can do for longevity. Being slightly OVERWEIGHT is better.
