Gg! Same story here. I was so happy the first time I entered double digits.

How do you progress pullups? I can do 8 reps for 1 set but on the other sets i can do only like 5 or 6.

I'm not op, but here's what eorked for me:
Spam sub optimal set 1-2 times per week for a month. This means that if your one set max is 8, do 8-10 sets of 4, then slowly raise that to 5. In a month or so your max should increase. Then I'd suggest to have a sub max day like this per week and another day where you target max reps, like trying to do 3 sets of 6, then when that's comfortable go for 7 and so on. On sub max days rest time is short, like 90 secs, on max days it should be longer, even 3 minutes. I could barely get to 7 in a single set in December, but now I'm at 9-9-8. Hopefully one day I can get to 10 reps for 3 sets, but I feel like that's a longer journey.

good job

this works, I would like to add to this anon that I got it up by adding one day a week of progressively heavier weighted pullups for low rep sets of 3-5

>decide in my head that calisthenics have no risk of injury
>do pull ups every 2 days for 5 sets until failure
>doing 5x10 pull ups
>elbow is sore
>nah its cool man, just DOMS
>keep going
>can't lift up a 30 pound toddler the next day
Yeah I think I overdid it

Lately I've been thinking on adding load

I’ll give you a load if you catch my drift.

>>
>>77342489

10 pull ups is reasonable for a first time if they are strong at barbell rows
i see huge carryover between those 2 lifts
>>
I went from being able to do 4 to (almost) doing 3 sets of 8. And this is after like 7 kilograms of gains. WAGMI
