The one recipe I found online that I like and still make are these meal prep burritos but I modify them by removing the smaller tortilla and putting on the beans first before the nacho cheese. If some of you guys have recently gotten inspired to start lifting weights or doing cardio, I've got to warn you- it's going to mess up all your careful record keeping. When you first start exercising, your body tends to hold onto more water. After an intense workout, blood floods into your muscles (the "pump") and for a day or two while they heal- your body also finds other reasons to retain water. So, if you just started lifting- your weight loss will seem to plateau. Don't worry too much about it. The scale is lying to you. Diet + exercise is better than either by itself. It's normal for your numbers stall for a few weeks. Build good habits, and in the long run that weight will just melt off. Also, people will notice your body becoming more athletic. Isn't that why you're doing it in the first place- to look good and be healthy? Don't obsess about the number on the scale. Can you run farther and faster than you did yesterday? Can you lift more weight or do more pushups than you did before? Get in the habit of recording your workout sessions as well as charting your weight loss. You will see a correlation in the long run.

>>77347575Lots of ways to stay progressive, more reps, more weight, better form, less rest, higher intensity, drop sets, ect most of those won't matter until you're an intermediate/advanced lifter.Most guys here are novice lifters so the key thing you want to focus on is getting your form right, make sure you're actually doing the exercise right first before adding weight or chasing more reps, and yeah you'll stall out if you never add weight, you want to reach proximity to failure in the 5~8 rep range, you don't have to go completely to failure but you want to get maybe 3~2 reps in reserve (aka you'd reach failure in 2~3 more reps), as a noob that might be a trap because you can't accurately judge yet how close you are to failure, what you think is 2 RIR is actually 5 RIR for example, so some people recommend noobs take their last set to failure everytime, just make sure you know how to fail gracefully, machines make this easier than free weights. Lower weight with cleaner reps with better form beats higher weight with shit form and cheater reps.Record yourself doing your reps, and compare your form to online videos of pros, look for errors in your technique, if your form is perfect, and you can do more than 8 reps, up the weight, if not improve form first, then reps, then weight, that order.
