Hyrox is a "fitness race", so you mostly train for events that have a fixed structure that's 8 km of running (in 2 km bursts) interrupted by various calisthenics challenges. Both are hybrid athletes, but hyrox leans more in the cardio direction while crossfit is more focused on strength training. But many crossfit gyms ("boxes") are also certified hyrox gyms.
