Are bones a great source of proteins ?

Can I add them to broths or milkshakes ?
>>
>>77346455
yes to both
>>
I imagine you can't really get any significant amount of protein from bones, because it's high in calcium, so you can't eat more than a few grams of it.

>Bones are dense in protein by volume (making up about half of a bone's volume and one-third of its mass), primarily in the form of collagen. However, because this protein is woven tightly into a hard mineral matrix, human bodies cannot digest raw bones to get it
>>
It's called collagen and it's easier and cheaper to get it in powder form
and this way you can also get the type of collagen you want, there are many different types and they do different stuff in your body
note that none of them are of any significance for muscle building
collagen is important but not for muscles, you need it for your bones, tissue etc etc, go check out which collagen type/amino acid/peptide does what

and then you will also find out if you get enough protein from other sources and some vitamins (especially vitamin c) you will find out that your whole idea was not bad but ultimately a waste of time because your body will make all the collagen it needs from other amino acids and vitamins

no idea but my gf certainly likes to grind my bone
>>
>>77346653
sounds painful brother
sending you prayers
>>
>>77346455
honestly in terms of no-waste it's okay to grind bones, but in terms of nutrition/work ratio you really only need to cook bones for a couple of hours to dissolve the collagen into the water and create broth you can condense and freeze.

Do meatcucks really?

this

Yes. I suck the marrow out of the bone it is extremely good for you. Almost as if humans evolved to eat it.
>>
>>77348099
it really is the best tasting part of an animal besides fatty meat. i can't think of a carnivore that does not enjoy eating marrow.
>>
Are chicken cartilages good for gains?
>>
>>77346455
Bone marrow in the oven, toes some bread with shredded cheese = heaven
>>
>>77346455
Just buy gelatin. It's literally already crushed bones and cartilage, and it's sold cheap. Has like 80-90% protein.
No need to waste time grinding them yourself.
>>
>>77349659
Its literally not
