Literally the only way I could build massive arms and legs.
>>77346579Post body, you won't.
>>77346579High reps once again reign supreme. No shit you don't grow doing just 3 measly reps that take 10 seconds max to do.
>>77346675
>>77346854What if they're very heavy reps? Muscular failure activates sooner
>>77347414Feckin Irishman, ye jess dinnae understand
>>77346579>time under reddit
>>77346579I'm not sure I believe in time under tension is a major contributor to growth Yet I believe even and slow rep tempos will get you the best development on lifts even if you have poor leverages for them. Just having appreciable time at all in the differnt parts of the rep helps. Never got an actual upper chest or serratus burner before slowed bench. Upon reflection it's because I spend much less time near the bottom of the rep. If failure is approaching it's usually the first part of the rom people cut out so it never get as much as parts that are more engaged at mid to full extension. Slowing reps will get the weak spots more since you're not avoiding them or cheating reps. If it brings up the quality of your sets by all means do it.
>go jogging for an hour>suddenly grow quads that rival Tom Platz because of the hour of time under tension
>>77347414Just follow progressive overload at a comfortable weight and eventually heavy becomes relative.
>>77347901That's the point. If you can do "an hour" of anything then you're no really tensing anything. True tension is fucking unbearable and it's what makes your muscles grow.
>>77349262You just argued for mechanical tension which is inversely related with time under tension. Time under tension is utterly meaningless.
>>77346579Nah bro, imma pick up the biggest dumbbells in the rack and swing them up using my hip momentum and catch them at the top of the rep and then quickly drop them for like 3 sets.
It all boils down to intensity. At least as a natty. Doesn't really matter how you get that intensity, so long as you get it. High volume does nothing if it's not intense and if it's truly intense, as a natty, you're not getting high volume so again you're back to intensity.Time under tension is just a good way to increase intensity. My preference is to pre-fatigue with a 12 rep set at my working weight and then follow it up with 3 rep sets, every 20-30 seconds, until I hit a total of 24 reps. It's quick, it's intense, every rep feels close to failure, maximum recruitment of the musculature and it's been working very well for me in terms of both strength and size gains.Certainly a lot better than just doing 4 sets of 6 reps with the same weights... Where maybe only the last 3 reps of any given set is a challenge.Intensity is key. Everyone wants the shortcut, wants to believe you can go easy and still get the results but reality is you just have to attack the weights with some ferocity and intensity and your body will respond.Roided you can do a whole bunch of different stuff. It really isn't the same activity. You can just look at a weight and get big on the right chemicals. The whole 'I still have to work hard, the roids don't do the work for me' is a total fucking cope there's endless lazy bums in gyms fucking about with crap weight, crap programming and crap form getting absolutely yoked just because they're taking shortcuts. It doesn't usually end well.
>>77349469I kneel
>>77349572If ur doing high volume u basically need to go to true failure to get anything done and it hurts way more and is overall fucked
>>77346854>3x10 2 second reps>60 seconds of load (maybe, you're probably launching the weight)>niggers resting for 2-3 minutes between so you're at 10 minutes per exerciseVs.>5 single reps of 5-2-5>58 seconds, more if you hold out peak contraction until MMF on last repI don't know how you niggers breathe air at this point desu.
hows that working out for you bud
