Anyone else sick and tired of Mentzer fags pushing HIT? Literally every single fitness video online has dyels talking about how they've made bigger gains doing less volume
>>77349979I don't care. If it works for you great. If it doesn't then stop doing it.
>>77349985Only works if you're on meth as well
>>77349979Why do people treat Mike Mentzer’s training advice like gospel when it was clearly built around the recovery capacity of enhanced lifters, not naturals? Will never understand
>>77350211Because it sounds easy. Doing 1 set sounds easier than 3. Going to the gym 1 time a week sounds easier than going 3, and so on. Mentzer's training philosophy sounds like a cheat code, and people would rather cheat than work hard. I have no idea whether or not it actually works, but that's at least a big part of why it's popular.
>>77350211It's the opposite though, roidweenies get supernatural recovery and can eat literally anything and 1) gain lean mass and 2) shred fat mass. Working out 3x a week or more doesn't make sense if you're running a normal person's metabolism with a normal person's hormonal profile. On the other hand, 1 set to failure HIT not only works with regular recovery ability but also stimulates more GH and decorin release than a normie bitch 3x12 rep-range does.

>>77349979mentzer's training philosophy makes sense if ur on tren and is stimmed literally 24/7. even then, people still choose to work out same body part twice a week for growth. so unless ur at the level of dorian yates or nick walker, working out with relatively low volume and high frequency is the way to go in terms of growth. anyone would sane mind would assess, adjust, and re-plan as needed on the go..
>>773502111. it wasn't2. you literally have it backwards dumbass
>>77350642this legitimately hurt my feelings a little ngl
Just use your eyes. Most regular gym goers are in there constantly for hours yet still look the same as when they started. Mentzer was correct in that most people aren’t going hard enough and lack intensity within exerciseYes, he reached retarded levels with it but in reality most people aren’t lacking volume or frequency they’re lacking effort
>>77350846>Yes, he reached retarded levels with it but in reality most people aren’t lacking volume or frequency they’re lacking effortI don't know, a lot of them work hard.I think they what they are lacking is a plan. How many people practice linear progression? How many build their programming and diet around it? Not many. What you need is to add weight to get stronger. Yet people just go in and do the same weight every workout, or whatever they are 'feeling' like that day.
