I'm 36, bald, live with my parents, work a shitty part time job

Right now I'm like 230 lbs @ 6 ft gave up on lifing like 4 years ago. I look "builtfat" at best, but want to lose weight and get stronger and faster. I used to run a lot back in my late 20s and gave up due to a shitty knee or whatever. I don't even care about getting attention from girls or anything, I'm too old and jaded to socialize

What is the current "meta" for retired/returning lifters when it comes to building strength, athleticism and speed I'm pretty sure my chest and arms are still stronger than average and can walk into the gym and bench 2 pl8s for reps so at least I don't have to start from absolute noob level

Quit being a sad sack. Start against with a linear program for ***NO MORE THAN SIX MONTHS*** then move to an intermediate periodization program. Do cardio on active recovery days. You'll be fine and we won't want to hear from you again.
>>
>>77350356
dude, ngl your life sounds terrible. good thing is you have nothing to lose, so you can start using performance enhancing drugs. sometimes in life your are dealt a bad hand, nothing wrong in trying to cheat nature.

300mg a week test permacruise is a good start. reta too on top of that for fat loss. if you need a mental boost get some adderall prescription.

for social ability, get ketamine or pehinbut. dont drink its a huge looksmin.

is your hair salvageable? hair is a big deal. 3k transplant in turkey plus finasterade might be able to save you.

It's philosophical. You have no principles. You have no operating system. Your education was not adequate and now you're adrift without a paddle.
>>
>>77350578
It's practical. You have no money. You have no social mobility. Your savings are inadequate and now you're stuck without lifestyle agency.

The relationship between material resources and fame being determinant of your agency is a quite a bizarre metaphysical belief that doesn't stand up to scrutiny.
Philosophy and education is practical, and it precedes these material problems. Naturally, a rational animal would think about what he's going to do and plan ahead before he does it. A society of rational animals would naturally, ideally, educate their young on the best practices. OP is missing this. When you miss this, that's how you come to batshit conclusions like what you just said.

Your first step is to order tirzepatide from a Chinese vendor on stairwaytogray (aps is okay).
Cut the fat.
Second step is to order test prop, Anadrol, and HCG and hit the gym.
The subsequent steps have to do with making connections.

It doesnt matter because you'll never put in the work. If you really wanted it, you'd already be lifting and not worried about some arbitrary timeline.
If someone does tell you a timeframe you find acceptable, you'll go the gym then quit in a few months when you see no progress and then go back to making "how to achieve" threads with a pic of Gooky the anime character waiting for someone to "redpill" you on how to get jacked without doing anything. loser

You're still too young to have any proper vantage on life, with these little performative rants of yours. You insist upon your philosophical competency in awkward, boyish ways.

The smartest thing that you can say to most men (especially those pushing 40) is some variation of 'save yourself, because no one is coming to save you', and that still necessitates getting your finances right. These are pressing concerns of a rational, adult male. Though I wouldn't be surprised if you're still impressionable enough to believe that you can mimic the life of Diogenes or some shit.
>>
>>77350896
Not OP, but i'm in a similar situation. I'm 33 with full head of hair and i built my own business and i managed to save like 40k. I get proper food and sleep nowadays but my 20's have been so brutal that i'm traumatized with every interaction i come with. People trust me but i have self-destructive OCD where i get bored easily or feel resentment from other people when i realise they are just normies who are trying so hard to take advantage of you. Also i've been sad af yesterday because i saw my ex gf at the gym and i was dreaming of her the whole night. What do

You will never have a career in anything.
So you better accept your fucking fate as a fucking untermensch, doing doordash, working a gas station, or whatever you're doing. This is the rest of your life.

Just do some exercise every day. Day one do 3 sets of push ups. Day 2 do 3 sets of pull ups. Day 3 do 3 sets of squats. Just do simple easy shit like this for two weeks at least and then maybe you can add a second exercise. It’s all about forming a habit. Make it easy. Accessible. It should make you feel good not like shit. Don’t over do it at first. Leave some strength in the bank. It’s not a sprint it’s a marathon. A guy who does 10 push ups every day for 10 years will look better than a guy who did 1 hour in the gym for 6 months and quit.
>>
>>77350896
I'm not really worried about sounding smart. But if you don't start from the basis of an education, then you have no direction in life and you end up 36, fat, fussing about your hair, hanging on to your mom's legs like a koala and stuck in a part time job thinking and legitimately believing absurd metaphysical propositions like if one has inadequate savings, he has no agency over his lifestyle. It's not an exceptionally clever thing to suggest, it's just simply what's adequate to fix the problem.

Anyway, it speaks for itself, I just dropped off the suggestion for OP.

Neither do you, I suspect. In fact I suspect these posts of yours are a meta commentary over similar frustrations: I don't think you can afford to start your life properly either. At least not in the same basic custom that men your age did a couple generations ago.

If philosophy is helping you to process these frustrations and reclaim some sense of executive agency, that's good, but it'd be better as another poster to engage with (You) and talk about the tangible frustrations you're also dealing with in life, as opposed to some detached and intelligent Philosopher mask that you'd prefer anon see.

I'm talking to someone who isn't in the thread yet, and I'd like you to make one post grounded in your current material reality.

Why are millennials like this
Did you never wake up once in your entire 20s thinking about your life trajectory and future? Not even when you turned 30?
Every day your potential decreases and your life trajectory becomes more ossified. People need to be worrying about this stuff when they’re young and they can affect things, not when they’re middle aged and it’s too late.

Money only seems appealing because of the boomer dream of comfort or the late stage dream of running away from brown.

> Why are millennials like this Did you never wake up once in your entire 20s thinking about your life trajectory and future?

I genuinely didn’t. Im 34 and the biggest loser on this board. I wasted all of my 20s, I don’t even have a reason or excuse, I just did nothing. I went to my shitty dead end job, come home to my parents house. Don’t make friends, don’t date, don’t do anything.
>not even when you turned 30?
Yeah, when I turned 30 I realized what I had done to my life and I’ve been in complete suicidal depression since then, so over 4 years. All I think about every single day is how I’ve wasted and ruined my entire life and how I need to do something to get the courage to commit suicide because that is legitimately the only way I will find peace from the unfathomable hell I have created for myself. I’m so severely mentally ill.

I have no friends. I have never had a relationship or sex. I live with my parents.
I don’t have a career. I haven’t laughed or smiled in many years. I can’t even put into words how miserable my life is and I don’t give a shit about fixing it because I’m completely brain dead. I have no skills, no personality, no memories, no happiness, nothing. Like you said, reaching middle age and realizing that it’s too late. It’s far too late for me. Every night I pray that I die. I literally pray to get cancer or something to kill me.
>>

Are you fat from being sedentary, eating like shit or drinking?
Stop doing whichever is the problem. Some of that shit might be harder to quit when living with your parents.

If you have knee issues, don’t do cardio. Just do sprints. It is less pounding.

The upper body lifting is really secondary to your problems. Do whatever you enjoy so you make it a habit.

Seriously, what option do I have besides suicide? I’ll never have a purpose in life. I’m one of the most undesirable guys in society for women. Even if I got a top career, there’s nothing I want. When my parents die I’ll be completely alone. I hate everything and everyone. There’s literally no point.
>>
>>77352569
go to church
read or write a book

help other people, go to an underground/low profile gym

if you can't make friends, thats fine but at least try talking to other people
i'm a "loser" in my 30s too but have met guys/girls who are complete fucking disasters IRL, it's never over if you keep trying

if you can't find "purpose" think about something you want in your life, like strength, speed, fighting skills, money, wisdom, whatever and try to do something to achieve these things. imagine saying "i want to be the strongest guy in this city" and then build your life around this goal

Lose 30lbs, a bodyweight bench press for reps isn’t strong or average. It’s pretty weak. At this point it’s better to lose weight. Eat less, run. To be really lean you might have to cut to 185ish, as you don’t have much muscle with a Bw bench press. Cut first then lean bulk/build strength after.
Fin/min work for hair loss/prevention, but if you’re bald it’s unlikely to help, but it depends on the severity of how much hair you’ve lost. The only way to get that back is a hair transplant plus fin/min. Or use a hair system. Some guys look good bald but you’d have to judge whether your head looks weird or not.
For money, do trades at your age. Some kind of trade school, electrician, lineman, plumber, technician, etc... Alternatively could try engineering, civil or electrical if you’re decent at math, or nursing anything else at your age/experience would be a waste of money and require grad school.
That’s the only way to get out of your current position, you gotta get your weight, income in check

Freud, before his later theories, was first thinking about the psychosexual interpretations of ear-nose-and-throat examinations. Quite bizarre stuff, and I don't think even traditional Chinese medicine or Yoga is as absurd as Freud.

Freud's theory that spawned psychotherapy begins at the axiom that, at base, man is a collection of appetites, and the root of all appetites was the sexual one, which he called the "libido." This is a personal metaphysical belief of Freud, as far as I'm aware.
Freud then makes the case that since all humans, even children, are just big bundles of sexual appetites wanting for expression, the explanation for mental disorders and unhappiness is because of unfulfilled sexual urges. He is similar to another Jewish psychologist "John Money," in that he was a real noncey bastard. Anyway, he called the proceeding disorders from the unfulfilled libido "neurosis."
So it's not that you are unhappy about things, you're actually "neurotic." Now that you have pathologized your dissatisfaction or unhappiness into a mental disorder, you can go to Mr. Freud's office and talk about your sex life, which is your life in its totality, because unbeknownst to you, your entire life is sex. Dreams? Sex. Family members? Sex. Friends and acquaintances? Sex. Animals? Sex. Your own children? You guessed it.
Now go consume psychiatry and psychologist visits. Put it on credit if you can't pay for it. Attend therapy with the idea that you will never actually be "therapized" effectively once and for all.

Of course, even a brief cursory read of Aristotle instantly points one in the right direction and clears things up like a breath of fresh air or a drink of stream water.
