what is the absolute bare minimum equipments you need to reach natty status? i would say a bench and a pairs of 20kg dumbbells.
>>
>>77351585
Why though?
>>
>>77351585
5-6 years of strict dieting and exercise. 95-99% of diets, exercise plans and routines only work if you're on the sozzle

gymnastic rings and a backpack you can put weight in

well, that's just not even remotely true

Of course it is. You're brainwashed by tiktok and roidhead grifters. Bet you think the Rock is natty as well lmao

Literally a pull up bar. I used to do it every year when the high school gym or uni gym would close. Pull ups, push ups in every variety, and dips. If you just want to be cut and not big like Jax Teller or Brad Pitt in fight club, just keep a low bf and youre fine.

Home gym masterrace here.

>bar, a rack and 220 lbs of weights.
This allows you to hit all your compound. You will be able to keep going for years doing main exercises. If you bench 225 for reps, row 225 for reps, Ohp 1 pl8 easily, you won't look small. If you want to pursue squats, buy more weight.
>a pair of adjustable dumbbells
Must have. If you're a beginner you can even start with only dumbbells and buy the bar later. Dumbbells allow you to hit every muscle group.
>bench
Pretty non-negotiable. Bench press sucks doing on the floor, or worse, using chairs.
>pullup bar
doesn't take up much space, but the gains from it will be huge. Everyone should do pull ups. A pull up bar also allows you to train abs with leg raises, and grip by holding onto it for long periods of time.

That's what I personally had for first 2-3 years of my lifting career and I must say all of the mentioned above are worth every dollar. Recently I also bought rings and I'm happy with dips and other calisthenics movements.

Honourable mentions:
>lifting straps
>wrist wraps
>ezbar curl (really amazing for curls if your wrists hurt with a straight barbell, or for skullcrushers)

He isn't natty

And I say fuck the idea of minimalism, having jack shit to work with doesn't make you cool or special. It makes you an idiot who leaves gains on the table
Id say the minimum you need is
>Power rack, can be used for bench as well as squats and OHP. You need a rack because you're limiting yourself massively if you rely on cleaning the weight up yourself. A good one with have pull up thingys on too
>A bench, get an adjustable one that can go flat or on incline or decline. Probably get one with an attachment for preacher curls and leg extensions
>Olympic barbell, I'd say all you really NEED is 100kg of plates if budget is a concern. That's plenty of weight for bench, you'll probably never reach that on OHP, and it can be enough for squats and deadlifts if you just go for higher rep sets. If course some should be little plates, you're kinda fucked if the only ones you have are 20s (that's a big oversight I made when I built mine because I'm a retard)
>20kg for dumbbells isn't enough, you will quickly outgrow that. Get a pair of 10s for lateral raises, 15s for curls, and then 20s, 25s, 30s, 35s and 40s, you can get everything done with that probably
>An ez curl bar, curls, skullcrushers, preacher curls and shit, get one that holds Olympic plates so you can use the same plates as other barbell
That would be my minimalist setup, the minimum you need to make real gains imo

I do literally only six exercises. Dumbbell bench, weighted pull ups, curls, tricep pulldowns, and some leg machines. I look pretty good but I'm a manlet so that factors into it.

>look pretty good
Need proof bruddeh if you're going around making such claims

Barest minimum, a bench and some dumbbells would work but you would have to get real autistic about the volume at that point.

My recommendation would be a bench, a squat rack or very basic power rack (for unracking bench press and for squatting), 225 lbs of weights including a barbell, and a power tower + weight belt (weighted pull ups and dips).

barbell, bench, squat rack, and 500 lbs of weights

Calisthenics calisthenics calisthenics.
>>
Pic, bench, a pull up bar.
If you're rich as fuck, then go get a 20 kg kettlebell for ballistic movements and some resistance bands too.
>>
>>77351600
But what do I use for weight?
>>
>>77351623
This is how I do it, it’s good for upper body but lower body isn’t as easy and it’s very very difficult if not impossible to replicate a heavy barbell deadlift. There’s just nothing else equivalent. Everything else you can do pretty solidly without weight, even pistol squats are bretty gud. Single leg dead lifts aren’t bad, but they really only get the hamstrings and do nothing for lower back or and little for glutes. You can just hit your lower back with Superman holds or something to at least get somewhat trained lower back.

books, spaghetti

Good call on adjustables, with lifts like curls it can be good to add small amounts like going from 16kg to 17kg when progressing, it's not a lift where you do 5kg jumps or even 2.5kg. And if this setup is minimalist you don't want a full rack of dumbbells obviously. Get ones with metal grips though, the rubber ones don't last in the long run and you quickly get used to the discomfort of metal grips

>>77351860
>100kg
>it can be enough for squats and deadlifts if you just go for higher rep
Yes for squats. Most the 3pl8 squats I see aren't even going parallel, 2pl8 ATG is unironically more than most can do. I would rather see bros with 2pl8 going all the way down than 3pl8 with that quarter rep bullshit. But with deadlifts you'll quickly reach a point where you need more weight desu

>>77351928
Weight belt is based, progressing on weighted dips is underrated. With pull ups I don't think most people need weight though, hardly anyone who isn't 130lbs can even do 15 clean ones.

I would also add a box for jumping on and a sled for putting plates on if you have the space, but I am autistic

I could fill it up with your mother’s big heavy black dildos
