Yes.
Gives some acid reflux and some minor stomach cramps. Occasionally you might get diarrhea. You are a bit uncomfortable but not dangerous except for certain scenarios (like pancreatitis).

Keep in mind you need to want to lose weight - I work at a place that sells prescriptions and medicine for ozempic and others (like mounjaro) - some people still gain weight or didn't lose it because they keep eating like pigs, even at maximum dosage. If you are going to hop on you need to understand you want your life to change and make better eating choices.

Two of my family members started ozempic at the same time, got gallstones a couple of months later at the same time, and had to surgically remove their gallbladder at the same time.

I've been on a calorie deficit for 3 weeks now, and I didn't lose any fucking weight for like 2 weeks now. I meticulously count every fucking calorie that goes into my body.
I'm male, 33 years old, 196cm tall, and my current weight is 130,6 kg.
My daily calorie goal is 1900kcal, but often times I'm way below that. Yesterday and the day before I was at 1500kcal and 1200kcal.
There's currently a massive heat wave in Europe, could it be water retention?

There is actually some link between the two, but they are minor risks. Of course, it is always a risk, so I'm not saying its 100% safe, but not something that you should be very worried about unless you have prior issues, it happens in a very small percentage of users.

Keep in mind that being fat is probably the biggest risk to your health of all. Make that what you will.

Yes and some other factors.

3 weeks is often not enough to see a difference when starting out. Your body is stubborn and avoid burning fat as much as possible, it will start by lowering your TDEE before it goes to fat storages.

This can sound annoying but you really do have to trust the process and check with about a month apart.

The good news is that once it starts, it stays going down for a while, it does get slower the less fat % you have though.

Make sure to get your recommended protons, lots of liquids, fibre. I would also recommend greek (or variations like quark) yogurt DAILY because it really helps your gut biome. These changes helped me a lot to kickstart my weight loss when i started.

Well not minor enough in my experience, maybe both cases were part of the 1%? Genetic aversion to ozempic? Could be I guess, crazy coincidences happen in life.

I would agree with you in the past but now I say it depends. Removing your gallbladder (the bile buffer) makes all the bile you produce by eating go straight to the liver and intestines.
If you take ozempic, remove the gallbladder and watch what you eat afterwards you will be fine. But if a fatty uses ozempic it's precisely because they can't control what they eat. So what happens?

Those are valid points anon, I'm not going to rebuke them.

There are risks with everything. I knew an aunt that had to be operated on a leg which was a really safe surgery and she died in the operating table at 40 years old. Even if its only 1%, it is always a risk.

However as I said, I think being fat is the bigger risk, meaning I recommend basically everyone that needs it to try it. As a fatty, the odds of you reaching 50s to 60s are not great (depending on BMI).

I think one of the worst parts about of Ozempic is what you discussed - People take it and don't intend to change anything. I work at a clinic that prescribes these so i deal with a lot of messages from people on maximum dosage putting on weight.

Ozempic isnt a miracle, it just makes you more nauseous and "full" so you want to eat less. The weight loss is still CICO. You still need to restrict calories.
You CAN get fatter on ozempic, and some fatties are so used to the eating life that they never stop, and never had that intention.

Sadly, most fat people are genuinely too stupid or too deluded to ever count calories and its a literal NGMI situation, even with all the help.

I guess if there's no side effects like gallstones it's probably fine but since I saw it happen twice and right on schedule I think the risk of it is too great. If anyone told me their doctor readily recommended ozempic I'd tell them to take it as an absolute last resort.
I think it's fine for diabetics even if their gallbladder is removed since it automatically adjusts blood sugar and by watching what they eat they can live normal lives.
For willful fatties... please try everything you can think of first (within reason). If you would rather die than stop eating mcdonalds every day and are open to the risk of -1 body organ then take ozempic. In the end everyone is responsible for themselves.
