It's not that common nowadays but back a few years, dyels would say shit like "muh I don't want work out that much because I'll get too bulky". Do they unironically believe that they would turn into Ronnie within a span of 2 years? If anything, it would take them 4-5 years to get their "dream" dyel physiques.

I think that's something that e-celebs made up in order to fill air for ten seconds while humblebragging + virtue signaling about their work ethic.

I've never ever heard someone say, before starting an exercise plan,
>I don't want to get too bulky though
especially now that everyone over the age of seven knows what roids are

its the same as when people talk shit about athletes being trash. people just have a lot of confidence in things they dont have experience in. Its very normal and im sure you do that on a daily basis, just like everyone else, on many things

The original cope was boomers saying bodybuilding was gay and it got passed down. To give an example of how copes are born, there's a specific subset of the same cope that claims women only like "ottermode" and dyel physiques based on public surveys. Actually women and people in general lie all the time even in general surveys, or else advertisers would just ask people what they want instead of studying marketing. In the end, both men and women go with these copes either because it makes them look less vain (they are vain, everyone is) or because it hides some other flaw such as laziness. It's just something they do to avoid the immediate shame, but once it becomes a habit it can go on until it's too late

And hollywood made bodybuilders into a movie trope that people believe- they're dumb, mean, bullies etc.
Every "teen" movie since the 70s made the jock/jacked guy the bad guy.
And so we still have people who say they're gay, compensating for a small penis etc.
Look at ll the losers here who think every single big jacked guy is an "insecure cuck" etc.

>I don't want to practice basketball too much because I might start slamdunking too many baskets from the freethrow line
same energy
