I deload when i get ill or travel which isn't often

Deloads are a meme and a retarded one at that. If it works for you it's literally proof you're going to hard or your recovery is shit. It can take as little as 2 fucking days for your neural adaptations to begin to regress.

If reps get (overly) sloppy, deload (a little) you aren’t doing yourself any favors by banging out garbage reps and you run the risk of fucking your shit all sorts of up. Also you can deload but not lose ANY intensity, just lift it more times.
