How do I stop hurting my lower back when I’m doing hip thrusts? Or is that where I’m supposed to feel sore after doing them?
>>
>>77359958
hurt and ache and soreness are three different things. I think you should clarify what you are feeling first. when I started doing deadlifts, squats and core exercises for real my lower back ached like hell but then it stopped
>>
>>77359960
Ache I guess, but the sort of ache that feels like you’re close to pulling something
>>
>>77359964
The most likely culprit is your glutes tightening and pulling on your lower back muscles(98% certainty because i get it too). Stretch your glutes during and after the exercise and into the next day also stay hydrated. Remember I love you anon :-)

- lighter weight
- shorter range of moment
- focus on tucking your pelvis under
youre doing them with a neutral/arched spine like an idiot
practice just regular bridges with your bodyweight first
>>
>>77359958
yes its perfectly normal to injure your back every time you correctly do an exercise.
>>
>>77360153
I love you too :?)
>>

Get your pivot point a little higher. If you're slouching during the rest and go back into a set from that posistion you'll probably feel something weird going on in your back.
>>
>>77359964
then maybe your core is weak? i really dont know much about hip thrusts or female anatomy, if you are a man and want manly gains just do deadlifts man
>>
>>77360249
I can't do this anymore, we need to see other people
>>

>pic straight from /tv/ thread
i lift for monke
>>
>>77359958
Your back has to stay neutral the whole time and SHOULD NOT change positions relative to itself
>>
>>77359958
Damn, she has up syndrome.

>>
>>77360551
Yes. She's currently crying because YOU didn't see her Supergirl movie
>>
>>77360427
it should NOT be neutral you should be TUCKING your pelvis to maximize glute squeeze moron
>>
>>77359958
i love all monke
>>
>>77359958
Stop doing them. Squat/deadlift instead

>>
>>77359960
Im going to need a bare ass picture with time stamp for medical reasons to know if its ache or pain.
>>
>>77359958
Scale back to similar movement patterns using no weight (basically physio) and try to figure it out.
Don't lift heavy when you have those problems, take care of them first cause you'll have to do it later anyway.
>>
>>77359960
The spinal erectors also feel painful when they're undergoing DOMS, so you have to be in tune with your body and tell the difference.
>>
>>77359958
stop fucking fat chicks
>>
>>77359958
Push your feet into the ground and push the earth away from you (this helps for squats and deadlifts as well), don't try and thrust your butt up into the air. My guess is your starting position is arched not neutral or even butt tucked, you arent bracing, and you're trying to thrust the bar up with only your glutes, which is activating your back and pulling you out of position.
>>
Do frog pumps with way less weight. Heavy hip thrusts are retarded and the new version of some skinny pussy putting 10 plates on the leg press
