Everyone says to sleep on your side not on your back but when I sleep on my side I wake up with my ear all purple and fucked up from pressure. Why does nobody ever mention this? Does it not happen to anyone else? Just me?

Pretty sure sleeping on your side not idea for spine reasons and also because it ages you from wrinkling your skin. You only do it if fat because the weight makes it harder for you to breathe (causing snoring and bad sleep quality).

I'm not a doctor though so I just "heard about this", maybe some other anon can clarify.
>>
>>77362146
No, you're correct, side sleeping is for fatties who can't breath right.

Can you post a pic of you in a diaper cuddling one please?

I wish I could sleep on my back, but it only works when I'm extremely tired. Back sleeping also gives me crazy dreams.

Sleep expert here.
There are two things that matter about your mattress/pillow and how you sleep.
>You don't wake up through the night.
Your body will naturally reposition during the night, and it's gotta be easy enough to shift that you can do it in your sleep. If you have to wake up to roll over, your mattress is probably too soft. If you keep waking up because you're sleeping on your side and your arm is dead, your mattress is probably too firm.
>You wake up without back/neck pain.
Sleeping on your back is fine if you don't have short hip flexors from sitting all day, otherwise it can lead to back pain. If you're a side sleeper and you wake up with back pain, your mattress isn't supporting your spine properly (the ideal spine position when lying down is identical to when standing).
As a general rule, the fatter you are the firmer your mattress should be, and vice versa.
Your pillow should match your sleeping position (thin for back sleepers, thick for side sleepers) and for side sleepers should match your shoulder width.
There's no such thing as the 'best' mattress, since everyone's body shape is different. Hell, your body from ten years ago probably needed a different mattress to your body today. If you can sleep through the night and wake up without back pain, your mattress is fine. If you wake up without neck pain, your pillow is fine.

I slept on my side/stomach my entire life, until I got fit. Now I can only sleep on my back, or it hurts my shoulders and neck. I have no idea why.

Everyone does, it's a natural occurrence. Sleep expert yeah sure buddy, more like retard expert.

>since everyone's body shape is different
Legit kill yourself.

Sleeping at a 30 or 40 degree angle is 10x more comfy. It's outrageous they don't make stylish hospital style beds.

You're correct I am fat and can only sleep on my back for so long before I go to side sleeping, which then causes me to roll back and forth all night fucking with my sleep because my shoulders get sore and usually my arms are crossed putting my wrists in awkward positions just all around bad news.
Before I got fat I slept on my back all night and was told I looked like a corpse while sleeping lol, Much more restful.

your muscles are too weak and tight to support you
get a better mattress, loosen up your chest and should muscles, and do some better workouts like face pulls, db flye presses held in the stretched position at the end of each set, and slow lateral raises
