Runners face is real, and its not due to sun exposure or dehydration or w/e reddit says, because you never see cyclists look this bad, cyclists tend to look pretty good actually.
>>77363951Cyclists do the majority of their cardio indoors. Runners can't really do that as easily even with a treadmill. The self pacing mechanism is more vital to running than biking. Also bikers can have more coverage since their weight tolerances aren't as tight and ride with their faces more shielded from the sun.
>>77363951>my cherry picked photos prove that........
>>77363951its obvious its from the constant jumping like how is that even a discussion.
>>77363951>sun exposureIt absolutely is this and gravity. Doesn't take a genius to figure out that repeatedly slamming your body into the ground for hours at a time isn't good for you. This is why multiple studies have found running induced catabolic states and walking/cycling doesn't. Those brief impacts with the ground are pulling on everything in the body all at once.
>>77363951Runners face is the least of a runner’s problem. The fact that they are all insufferable assholes is a much more urgent and terrible problem.
>>77363975Never met a cyclist huh?
It's the other way around. Being ugly, single and over 30 makes you run.
>>77363951>bodybuilders faceHAH
>>77363951Its most likely due to how much your body has to work to use energy and to also replace it. High endurance athletes eat a lot of carbs which I think I read somewhere ages you quite rapidly but I could be just pulling that out of my ass so look it up. But runners always looked like shit in every aspect unless you are a sprinter
>>77363951It's because of chronic dehydration.Cyclists don't get it because they always bring water bottles and have a sippy sippy at every red light.
>>77363997I dont know they all look cooler than runners
>>77363951all ugly people suck to look at stop singling out rooners
>>77364054they are, in fact, pretty cool rn, not sure about the looks
>>77363951Its both sun exposure, dehydration, and the repeated bouncing. This last point is especially brutal with the masses that run on concrete sidewalks and roads. People the play basketball, volleyball, or jump rope extensively don't get hit with the same issues.
the bouncing on pavement hypothesis is bullshitthe reality is that a lot of these types are prone to eating disorders and are probably super dehydrated all the time>t. runner who eats like a fat fuck and looks goodall the rooners I know who take it super duper seriously and are actually fast look like shitironically the fastest guy through my friend's run club actually has a sorta stocky build, you would never guess that he's finishing 10 miler races at close to 5 minutes a mile
>>77364045Why don't runners carry a camelback?>>77364059Kek
>>77364127a lot of people do nowall the rich normies are into hyrox shit now and getting vests with water pod attachments and shit like that
>>77364127Hydration vests have been around for decades. Lately a lot of people wear "running belts" which sit very snugly on your waist and can carry a "soft flask", which is like a floppy water bottle. They're pretty good. I even bring one in races, because I can't drink from the little plastic cups that they provide. The downside is the weight. Carrying an extra 500g does make a difference, even if it isn't bouncing around.
>>77363951>because you never see cyclists look this badWearing a helmet that doubles as a sun protector helps with this. It's literally just sun damage. Also photos are cherry picked. Always be wary of people who post stupid anecdotes to support their claim instead of scientific evidence. Almost always agenda driven.

why do jews fear the running man?is it because running requires the least amount of equipment to (((buy)))?
>>77363997Even the roidfaces look better rofl that's insane
>>77363951Mentally ill vermin
i live in a mountain town frequented by affluent second residence richfags who all do running or cycling. all cyclists look a lot better healthwise, despite looking like silly fruitloops in all of their cycling gear. i'm pretty certain it's the sun exposure but the repeated bouncing does make sense as well. i was considering switching from running to cycling due to knee issues but the whole face thing might be the tipping point
>>77363951Aside from stress from excessive exercise it's probably mechanical damage to the collagen int he skin from bouncing repeatedly as they run. It may seem minor, but that constant bouncing and vibration could break down the elasticity of the skin and fascia. Cycling is a much smoother motion so you don't get the same effect.

I cycle regularly during the summer (on a heavy mountain bike because I'm not gay) and every runner I meet has a miserable face always.
>>77363953I just saw an Instagram reel of a fella who ran exclusively on a treadmill for a year, and it fully translated when he got outside again, like there was no difference. Anto-treadmill broscience is fake and gay.
>>77367112running is way more strenuous than cycling, of course they look miserable
>>77363951Runners face isn't from runningI'm 36 and get asked for ID buying booze whenever I clean shave, clearly look young. And I have done multiple marathons since turning 18 (I'm not a particularly good runner but I enjoy it)They look like crap from being underweight for long periods of time and malnourished, they don't give their bodies the stuff it needs, so they're rundown (pardon the pun) in general. They usually have stupid vegetarian diets but when the ones that do eat ok food just don't eat enough for their level of activity. I don't have this problem because I'm 84kg at 5'10", which is heavy for a runner and part of the reason why I'm not that greatrunning don't age you, being too skinny and not eating right does
>I'm 36 and get asked for ID buying booze whenever I clean shave
>>77367683You're coping because your teeth went bad and you went bald and got fat as you got olderSome people actually do look young over 30 if they take care of themselves

>Post your rotten teeth and receeding hairline fatso
>>77363951>not due to dehydrationIt is>you never see cyclists look this badI remember a routine checkup with my doctor. As she was examining me, she suggested it would be a good idea for me to start exercising. That caught my attention, and I proudly replied that I get physical activity every day: I ride my bike around town. And I’ll always remember her response: a smirk followed by a “yeah...”It really upset me at the time, but a few years later, I realized that the only physical activities that are truly beneficial from a medical standpoint are running and weight training.
>>77367586Doesn't work like that. Cyclists have almost a unique advantage with indoor cardio because they can easily replicate the conditions of a race. While you can do this with a treadmill the self pacing mechanism is such a learned thing and has to be routinely practiced much more. Since there are no gears on a run.
