I was hiking yesterday and feel on my open hand. It wasn't that bad and only hurts if I push it. It's definitely not broken or anything major. How long should I wait until I start lifting heavy with it again?
If you are in your 20's maybe four or five days, ice it and eat some protein. Longer if you are older, make sure you have good range of motion before you lift.
I'm much more on the hiking/cardio side of things than the lifting side, so I'll give advice the rest of the board will probably call shit:>how many people do you know, personally, that are weak because they take too much time off?Vs>how many people do you know that can't work out nearly as much as they used to because they overdid workouts while injured? Its usually a back issue instead of a hand issue, but I'll advise you keep with the routine at a lower weight that doesn't hurt.Try going back up gradually, where the pain is "work pain" instead of one hand feeling off or wrong
