Just got a new job in a new state and have had three instances in the last 4 months of people thinking I'm in my 20's

People regularly and consistently guess me as 10 years younger. Got ID'd a few months back too. Doesn't matter what clothes I wear either. I was helping a family member by being a summer camp monitor.

A girl monitor currently going to college was asking me where I went to college. She then began asking me questions like I just did the things I was describing and was waiting a bit before I find a job abroad or something. So in her mind I was like 23-24.

I'm 36. She was very confused about me talking about building house later on.

Getting your id checked buying alcohol probably doesn’t mean anything (depending on country) since most stores will have some kind of policy telling employees to id anyone they think looks under 25 or 30 and they send out a person once per month (depending on store/country) and if you don’t check them you get yelled at or perhaps fired, if you want to be id checked act confused like it’s your first time in a shop like that, buy the cheapest thing there like a single can or a tiny bottle of spirits and ask for the receipt as early as possible
