Less than 1% of fatties on /fit/ can do this
>>
>>77392458
0% is less than 1%, that's true.
>>
>>77392458
A tranime thread died for this
>>
I can run at that pace for five minutes. I'm almost there.
>>
>>77392458
2:54:47 when I was 16.
>>
Nobody with a decent physique can do this.
>>
I have bad knees
>>
>>77392458
running is bad for the knees and its gay
>>
>>77392458
Running longer than 10k is fucking stupid and becomes too much of a timesink.
>>
>>77392995
you don't train for marathons by running marathons
>>
>>77392995
Personally I just never bothered running farther than a half marathon since I don't want to have to "refuel" during the run or whatever. I don't pay for races though, or even do an intentional half, just sometimes feel like doing extra distance when long running on trails over the weekend.
>>
One day I was out running and I was really bummed out by my time, back in the day I had a sub 12 second 100 meter

But I'm getting older and heavier, and I said I really need to get this time down
And then I said wait a second the only time I'm ever running is when I'm out running, why am I doing this?

And I never ran again
>>
>>77392995
10k is the sweet spot
>>
>>77392458
No one cares + marathons are retarded and ass bleeding inducing.
>>
>>77393082
>only time I'm lifting is when I'm lifting at the gym, why am I doing this?
retard
>>
>>77392995
Not opinion, fact
>harms the body
>wastes time
I only run 5k, totally understand 10k, but more than that is just retarded
>>
>>77392458
There needs to be fit for lifting and fit for losing fat and eating salads.
>>
>ITT: "I don't want to get TOO big" "I heard squatting is bad for your knees"
>>
>>77393647
Shut the fuck up manlet.
Almost all of >185cm people have knee issues, and running is shit for knees its well known.
>>
>>77393683
Only if your technique is shit and you choose to ignore the pain like a retard, just as with squats, or if you get run over by a car while running on the road.
>>
I'd rather sprint from 1 mile than jog for 26
>>
>>77393710
cute
>>
>>77393710
To sprint 1 mile means you were running at around 200mph because you physiologically, by definition cannot go all-out for more than a few seconds. So yeah, I'd rather be able to run at 200mph too it would be cool.
>>
>>77393710
The 1 mile record was set at a pace of 2:38/km, the marathon record pace is 2:51/km. It's a huge difference for hyperspecialist athletes, for everyone else running is running.
>>
>>77393694
Wrong on so many levels.

I bet you a million your meniscus broke while turning, or falling on the ground, not from running laps around the court

>destroying your body
>wasting your entire day
>needing to eat 5000 calories
>just to look like this
i think runners just have an eating disorder and only run because they are pigs that need to eat 7000 calories
>>
>>77393838
*unless your technique is in fact shit because you think it looks cool to run like a cartoon character
>>
>>77392458
just look at videos of people running marathons and tell me you want to look like them
>>
>>77393848
Touch grass. Attend a sporting event in your life at least. Marathon pros, like sprint pros and cycling pros are born for their discipline. It goes beyond talent they are born with the perfect bone structure for what they do. This becomes immediately clear when you see them together in person next to regular humans hence why you should touch grass. That point is as retarded as implying that playing basketball will make you taller.
>>
>>77393838
Nothing broke
Look at your running club, it's full of manlets or women.
Same for maratroons, nobody's above 195cm.
That's just the way it is.
>>
>>77393873
>Marathon pros, like sprint pros and cycling pros
Yea these aren't marathon athletes. Go attend an actual marathon and see how fucked up their physiques are. Skinny legs sometimes with a huge gut is extremely weird looking.
Sprinters and those people who dont do long distance cycling at least work out in the gym
>>
>>77393873
>That point is as retarded as implying that playing basketball will make you taller.
implying you can work on height. you can work on how you look anon, what a dumb analogy
>>
>>77393889
You cant do much work on anything that's the final redpill shitness industry doesnt want you to know.
80% of the stuff you physically do is limitated by your genes.
>>
>>77393886
All amateur sport events are depressing freak shows. Marathons are no exception. Attend your local bodybuilding/powerlifting show if you ever need motivation to quit lifting weights.
>>
>>77393900
You crying online has motivated me to stop posting
>>
>>77393899
thats because you do marathons, start lifting some weights twink. do what the anon said, watch a video of people running marathons and compare to videos of people lifting in the gym. ask yourself which you would rather look like
>>
>>77393936
I dont run marathons.
I dont run at all anymore.
I barely lift i just maintain since i dont have good genes to be impressive in strength or size.
>>
>>77393743
2:18/km akshually
Which is faster than the vast majority of fatties here can sprint for 100m (13.8s) let alone a lap (55s)
>>
Not my goals. I could do this if I wanted to, but it's not worth the sacrifices to me nor is it something I want to do. I used to be a runner back in my mid 20s, but when you start seriously running to set good times, strength training is counter productive, especially the longer the run is. You can do a 10k and be relatively heavy, but good luck setting a good marathon time if you aren't literal victim weight.

My best is a 33 minute 10k, and I was probably running 50 miles a week on average
>>
>>77394001
I was also 5'11 135 pounds.
>>
>>77394004
not bad for 13
>>
>>77392458
yet none of them would ever do it
