>>77392858Prevents chafing. The traditional long distance 1 inch split running shorts basically require you to put some sort anti chafing cream on your inner thighs. Compression shorts remove the need and hassle. I'm amazed they took so long to catch on.

My shorts are 3" inseam and the compression underwear goes over halfway down my thighs, for them to not peak out I would have to wear something ridiculous like basketball shorts. Even with 3" shorts I can still comfortably conceal a subcompact 9mm between them and the compression underwear with a band holster, since I run on a pretty rural mountain road.
