What. In your opinion is the most overemphasized asped of health and nutrition that really isn't that important, and what is the most underemphasized aspect that people pay less attention to, but definitely need to focus on?
>>77393211Protein needs for muscle protein synthesis basically amount to making sure there is leucine in your system when it needs it. When people point at "oooh 3g per lb of bodyweight," type of shit, they fail to consider the fact that when you eat more protein at once (a requirement for hitting those sky-high numbers), it slows down the digestion and breakdown of the amino acids. This results in it staying in your system longer. The only way you can fuck this up is with fasting, but even then, your body is so good at recycling protein you can get away with it for a little bit. If it wasn't good at recycling protein, then you would experience RAPID catabolism from missing your 600g daily protein goal for just one day, which doesn't happen.Meanwhile, nobody carbs up anymore. Athletic guidelines for strength and endurance athletes both have carbohydrate goals set at 600g+ or more but then people sit online arguing about 150g a day for decades. It's fatties trying to waste other people's time.
>>77393211Well, 30 years ago people were slimmer, healthier and looked better. So anything that got invenetd during that times i objectively worse than what we had before.
