is it good for you?
>>77393971In moderation, yes.
>>77393971In moderation, no.
>>77393971In moderation, maybe.
>>77393971In, no moderation.
>>77393971I quit caffeine 3 months ago, and I now sleep like a baby. I also don't feel like shit every morning. Absolutely worth quitting.
>>77393994This is harder than it needs to be because they put caffeine in fucking everything. I thought I was off caffeine already when I quit energy drinks and coffee but my fucking chewing gum had it in it too.
>>77393971Hot take: instant dark roast decaf is bad for you, ground light roast is good for you.>t. has read the AGE and AMD literature
>>77393971Once I turned 30 I really started feeling the negative effects of coffee, even at just one cup a day. Adrenal fatigue is a given but also digestive distress and the diuretic effect causing me to pee a gazillion times a day. Then I learned that high acid content in food is compensated for by leaching calcium stores to bring the ph down, though certain (.com) sources contest that (they're wrong). It also definitively blocks iron absorption which is a problem for some physically active people. Endurance athletes frequently inject iron before high altitude races and usada has a special exemption just for it.Morning lethargy is handled by eating carbs and stepping outside in the sun.
>>77394456>eat coffee hours apart from meats and/or iron-rich plants>consoom decent amount of dairy for calcium>consoom decent amount of eggs for adrenal hormone precursors>consoom enough flooids ontop of coffee to compensate for diuretic effects>????>PROFIT!The side effects are not that hard to manage, there is l-theanine for jitters, etc..
>>77394604>if you do this the poison hurts lessOr I could just not consume the poison. That's an option over remaining a drug addict. I know of all the little "fixes" but it's much better for you (and free) to just stop consuming it.Another one is that my bowel movements became timed around coffee consumption. That had an impact on every other aspect of my life.
>>77394621>just don't in2 drink da poison brehProblem is, drinking this particular plant "poison" is generally associated with ACKing less, kind of like *light* ethanol consumption, except with a higher optimal intake...>Coffee consumption and all-cause and cause-specific mortality: a meta-analysis by potential modifiers>https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10654-019-00524-3>The lowest relative risk (RR) was at intakes of 3.5 cups/day for all-cause mortality (RR=0.85, 95% CI 0.82–0.89)
You get a burst of energy and brain power that is being borrowed from later in the day. For many this is worth it. As you really only need your brain to run at warp speed for like an hour a day if you have an intellectually demanding job. For everyone else you could argue its a net negative beause of its effects on sleep and cost.
>>77394768Again, I can just live without a toxic substance that needs youtuber sponsored supplements to compensate for. Meanwhile, you obsessed with having people continue your favorite drug. You are acting like an addict. I don't need coffee to live, no matter how much it upsets you
>>77393971drinking coffee is associated with better health outcomes across such a wide range of axes that the answer is clearly yes.
drinking coffee is associated with worse health outcomes across such a wide range of axes that the answer is clearly no
>>77393971Fuck no. Drinking it everyday just creates caffeine dependence and reduces your sensitivity, same with energy drinks. It's weakness. Having it every once in a whale when you specifically want a boost is fine.
>>77393984It's good for you in the same way a hammer is good for you when you need to nail something down. It's not going to improve your health on its own.
One large black a day has never killed anyone
>>77394002>they put caffeine in fucking everythingI would shower at night after getting home from work and not be able to sleep and then one day I looked up the ingredients of the shampoo I was using and saw they put fucking caffiene in it.
>>77394773You can borrow it trough the entire day tho.
>>77395118caffeine can be absorbed through skin?
>>77395106Yes it is. It contains polyphenols and the properties of the beverage reduce the risk for mental decline. You don't need to require energy for a task in order for it to be beneficial. Thats foolish and reductionism, There's more than one aspect to food.
>>77394002Your first statement is not even remotely true and the fact that you followed it up with a totally unbelievable statement is just ridiculous.
>>77395118>>77394002>I purchased a product that prominently claimed it had caffeine. How could I possibly know I was consuming caffeine? Woe is me, its truly society trying to steal my gains
>>77395558they do be tongueing my anus
I don't know. It's probably good for you if you can handle the withdrawal symptoms and rest for one day completely (Sabbath). But if you can't control yourself and drink it every day then you're just addicted and accumulating fatigue to destroy your body.I feel like I have more energy without the caffeine overall but the health benefits in delaying cognitive decline seem significant and that runs in my family so I'm going to at least try it.
>>77395648What religion are you
>>77395768Hindu
>>77395768Slavic pagan
>>77395828>>77395794>SabbathAt least try to troll
>>77395648>the health benefits in delaying cognitive decline seem significantThey don't exist. Caffeine drastically reduces blood flow to the brain. Caffeine is what causes cognitive decline.
>>77395768Christian
>>77396168Yeah, I got that. What denomination requires you to forego coffee on the Sabbath?
>>77393971Yes, images of female tits, ass, hips and pubic area generate neuron activation and thereby compels the user to click on the thread.
>>77396219Mormonism
>>77396232Can't you just have it iced?
>>77396237I'm not him I just know that mormons are autistic about coffee. I don't have an answer to this particular question though
I have two double shots of espresso every morning. One before the gym and one after. It’s heaven.
>>77393971Caffeine, yes. Black coffee, yes. Pretty much any form of coffee creamer, no.
No. I'm convinced coffee and caffeine are not healthy. There are people who make a lot of money convincing you they are healthy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_kXq8na6Q9w
I quit alcohol. I'm in the process of quitting nicotine. If I dump caffeine, what the fuck am I supposed to enjoy in life?
>>77396867Once you remove all of the addictions and your vision is no longer distorted, you will finally be able to see clearly again.

You are acting like an addict. I don't need coffee to live, no matter how much it upsets youNone of us *need* it, but that's a DUMBASS question to ask about health. All you "need" are some boring-ass nutrients, but we're biohackers here, so fuck that boing basic bitch bullshit.Fact is I've quit coffee for extended periods and not had w/ds from that, but I now drink it regularly and think you should too because it's a probably life-extending PED. Just do da jootoob-shilled pills breh, ain't no biggie; you don't "need" them either but they'll probably make you healthier if you find a decent manufacturer.
>>77396975Caffeine always stops working for me and i need to increase dose
>>77395546I think in this case it's supposed to increase blood flow to improve scalp health. Almost all shampoos that claim to do so seek to achieve that in some manner.

>>77393971I think it's like a lot of this stuff, that we get anal retentive about in the fitness sphere... It really doesn't fucking matter.By and large, if you're exercising regularly, maintaining a healthy fat percentage and getting decent nutrition, things like alcohol, nicotine, masturbation... It's all just plus and minus a few fractions of a point on the overall scale of things. We tend to hyperfixate and blow things out of proportion but for those that don't care, these things have little effect on them especially in the shorter term.Essentially, if you enjoy the coffee, don't think about it too much. Just keep enjoying it. Having some pleasure in your life probably has better health outcomes overall than trying to live like a buddhist monk.
>>77393971I don't understand the question. You should've posted an image that better illustrates the topic at hand.
>>77397045>fairly light alcohol consumptions>lower risk of deathMeme. Any amount of alcohol is toxic
>>77395872I don't know what to believe anymore.>>77396219None. It just makes sense to take a caffeine break on your day of rest to avoid building a tolerance.
