Realized in the last 4 years of lifting I've severly neglected my upper back cause i was always focused on lats. I tried t bar rows and lateral pulldowns with an upper back focus today, but my traps get involved and now my neck hurts. I tried squeezing the shoulder blades together but now my neck hurts like a bitch.

>>77395700The only way your neck can be in pain is if you're intensely flexing/extending it during effort. You should strive for a neutral neck, though sometimes it's involuntary.
