It seems that 50% of male celebrities have had hair transplants (5AR) is mandatory after a hair transplant.

And we NEVER hear celebrities crying about post-finastride symptoms like redditors.

Im suspecting neurotic males are just blowing finasteride side-effects out of proportion and blaming already existing, underlying mental illness, on finasteride
>>
>>77397344
He might have not complained about it, but he sure was kinda useless yesterday. Not the talent he used to have...
>>
>>77397344
>celebrities
>actually having sex

most celebrities are so ED brained by the time FIN is even mandatory that you'd never hear about half their symptoms.
now fuck off jeet.
>>
>>77397344
The side effects are not a complete myth, it’s just that they are very very rare (2-4%). The thing is we tend to blow things out of proportion when it comes to bad things. Nobody writes a Reddit post about having no side effects and everything going well. The horror stories just get more attention because they are more interesting.
>>
>>77397344
you just made all that shit up. good job.
>>
>>77397344
been on min and fin for two years without a single side effect. not doing something that will better you because of the potential for a side effect is stupid
>>
>>77397344
I can only recommend taking it, if you can afford it. Like the other anons already said, missing out on a huge quality of life improvement because of a 4% chance is stupid.

Why dont I see Beckham sperg out about brain fog or anxiety?
>>
Fin killed my dick in about 3 days when I tried it, no thank you. Took a week and half to come back after stopping
>>
>>77397378
You have to understand that you’re just very unlucky. Your anecdote doesn't chance the fact that that just happens for 2-4% of people. Fin is still great for the vast amount of people.

He was scoring all tournament and then for some reason just stopped in the last two matches

Hard to believe. You had (have) other issues, mate. Also, statistically speaking, the chances are very low, especially now with the modern formula of the drug (Dutasteride).

t. taking FIN since 2010 with no side effects.
>>
>>77397387
Rumors are he just applied a new dose of fin before those last 2 matches.
>>
This shit gave me chronic reoccuring anxiety and killed my libido.
Was fine before I touched this shit.

Maybe it's embarrassing to go around telling everyone your dick don't work

Because their career would be over the moment they go on record saying they chemically castrated themselves.
>>

Fuck off to another board, baldy

Really wish mods would make a no hair rule
>>
>>77397344
go for it, dude. why do you need to tell me about it?
>>
>>77397430
How finasteride affects your athleticism is /fit/ related because finasteride is one of the most prescribed medicines in the world
>>
>>77397445
Yeah, that's why we need a rule against it so you baldies can't make this retarded argument and shit up a fitness board with "I'm going bald" threads under the most tangential pretext possible.
>>
>>77397382
well funnily enough I ran into an old friend during the 3 days I was taking it. He was also taking it and the first thing he said about it was 'it kills your sex drive'. So you can add that anecdote too

We should be allowing to talk about this physical science here

Great, so take it to /sci/
Or to /fa/
More relevant than claiming the remote side effects for a non-fitness based treatment for a non-fitness based cosmetic adjustment justify this shit belonging here.
>>
>>77397344
it comes from a human bias that makes many of us risk averse, so tiny little hypothetical side effect is brought up like its a huuge deal.
>>
>>77397344
Use your brain. DHT is a male hormone primarily used in reproduction. It is the most directly sex-related hormone there is, even more than testosterone. Do you honestly think it serves no purpose? Can't wait for you to become a drag queen when your brain gets rewired from low DHT.
>>
>>77397500
it actually doesnt do shit for adults yes
>>
>>77397500
This kind of thinking is why you will stay stupid your entire life.
>>
>>77397518
DHT activates neuronal signalling in the brain. I think you'll find that the stupid one is you, my little dum-dum friend.
>>
>>77397505
It actually does >>77397547

It's believed this is responsible for male sexual behavior. You're, in all probability, turning yourself gay.

You have shitloads of successful, rich men on Finasteride keeping their hair, proving to you it works, and you have...random posts on 4chan...belonging to people you'll never see...discrediting it. These people will not post body, you do not know their names, they will not tell you anything true about themselves.

How is this a debate? Why even ask these questions? Ignore the retards and stop getting grabbed by the other crabs in the bucket. Take care of yourself today.

so called 5AR inhibitors also inhibit 5BR, which is absolutely critical for neurological and endothelial function, not to mention the "trash hormone" DHT is also not some final product, it's a step in a much longer hormonal cascade
Use these drugs orally/systemically at your own peril. I'd personally recommend topical minoxidil and topical 5ARs/antiandrogens, making sure to rinse the latter off before they can be absorbed too heavily systemically.

My coom became watery on fin, my sex drive decreased a bit and I became a little bit more chill and less autistically driven.
I also tend to procrastinate more.

Very much worth it for me
>>
I've been on min/fin for about a month and have had 0 side effects, though apparently its a crapshoot and you can get them at any time. I had very low folate and vitamin D so I've been supplementing that. I'm hoping to see some improvement by the end of the year especially since I started fairly early and my balding isn't bad yet.
>>77397682
>My coom became watery on fin
This is actually the only thing I noticed too. My loads are like 3 times the size but they're more watery.
>>
why is everyone on fin and not on Duta, its the most effective drug

Risk aversion. Even if in reality the risk profile is pretty similar, fin feels like the safer "entry level" medication.

thats retarded
if you're gonna take the DHT blocker, take the most effective one
>>

>(5AR) is mandatory after a hair transplant.
except it isn't because they transplant a different type of hair strand that isn't subject to androgen sensitivity. So you can just get a hair transplant and not take anything.
>>
>>77397821
is that true though? my understanding is that its not the hair itself that is targeted by DHT but the follicule
>>
>>77397824
A hair transplant takes the entire follicle.
They shill the drugs post surgery cus $$$, and also you might lose some of natural hair that was just hanging in there before your surgery. But any hair they put there will stay unless you damage your scalp or health through some other means. As far as androgen sensitivity, it can't hurt it.
>>
>>77397835
ah ok, makes sense
>>
>>77397821
This. But if you don't take the drugs the other hairs on top of the scalp that are sensitive will likely go, and you'll be left with a very weird hairline.
So taking the drugs is the full treatment. Some doctors won't do the transplant if you don't want to stay on the drugs after.
>>
I like how people always say side effects are 2-4% but then like every other person has side effects. I took it when I was 21 and immediately had watery semen and lost morning wood. There's no other drug that comes remotely close to the discrepancy between trials and anecdotal evidence. I don't really get it.

I wonder if it effects older people less than younger people and most studies skew older
>>
>>77397344
>(5AR) is mandatory after a hair transplant.
MYTH. Fren of mine flew to le Turkeyiyeah or whatever they're callin it these days over a decade ago, got a transplant, nope'd on fin and still has the hair.

I think you can get away with using topical finasteride which will only move your blood DHT levels like 30 percent rather than 80 percent or whatever and you generally dont get any big time side effects.

One thing that has been pointed out here and is true has to do with Allopregnanolone. That shit literally acts on your GABA system in a similar manner to alcohol or benzos but it is an endogenous hormone. And you need alpha 5 reductase to make it. You are literally boosting your neroticness and anxiety by taking this stuff.

And the literature agrees with me

My arguments hold up anecdotally and they hold up with rats. You dont have any evidence. You are just trying to attack mine on the grounds that its not perfect. This is exactly how people who are wrong argue lol
>>
>>77398416
rats are not humans. tpye 1 and 2 5ar work completely differently. the doses are differnet for humans. every single thing is different. again a rodent study is nothing it's just a reaction & a positive for nothing too awful happening.

and you didn't bother adressing anything else you dumb fuck. like mUH DHT being reponsible for mood n shieet.
>>
>>77398421

>>
>>77397344
2% of people get side effects at all over placebo. All of them are 100% reversible as proven by vast research and a decade of unsuccessful lawsuits by the fraudulent PFS Foundation.
The only people still crying about finasteride are those who either have a financial interest (by suing Merck) or are already bald and don't want increased competition from men who have hair.
>>
>>77397344
I'm not seeing celebs on fin pumping out kids.
Fin is fine if you want to live a childless hedonist life.
>>
>>77398616
The amount of evidence you require to reach a conclusion seems kinda laughable bro
>>
I have been taking fin since Nov 2025 and min (oral) since May 2026. I've had ZERO side effects. Stop being pussies and bite the bullet. Ignore the doomers on here. They're only salty because they didn't respond to the medication.
>>
can you crush fin pills and mix with min to make topical? recently started trying this but no idea if it will actually do anything
>>
>>77398705
What have your gains been like though
>>
I used to think so but no, they’re not. In fact, it’s almost necessarily the case that side effects do indeed occur and they could definitely permanent. The scary thing is you could theoretically take fin for years and have no sides and then one day your dick just stops working because your systemic fin has finally ruined your androgen receptors in your penis. I got off fin when I figured this out.
>>
>>77398616
Celebs don’t even take fin. Most of them aren’t so bad that they can’t get a transplant without having take anything and if they are they have all kinds of other treatments that work like PRP injections.
>>
>>77398858
Is everyone on this board literally retarded? What the fuck is this shit
>>
>>77397392
I heard that too. Apparently Haaland whispered this to him during the Norway match: "Heh, looking a little spotty on the old noggin guv'nor, feelin' fit buddy?" Kane kept trying to page his dutasteride dealer during the hydration breaks, looking frantic.

Wouldn't this fuck your gainz?
>>
>>77399081
it's paracrine. mostly affecting your prostate. it doesn't do anything for muscle except as acting as a backdoor if you nuke your test but there's no scenario that happens irl.

DHT isn't anabolic (muscle building) at all. It's androgenic (body hair, balding, acne, prostate growth, etc.)
>>
>>77398357
"Masterson" is not DHT.
