TL;DRI gave myself an eating disorder bulking and cutting all the time. I can now no longer maintain a balanced weight with a steady diet.Any ideas?Full:>Be lifelong athlete>Cut and bulk based on season and sport, sometimes really light for bb and running, sometimes really heavy for power and strongman.>Found a sport I like that is all year and requires no cut and bulk>Coming off of power, so cut down to desired weight>Eat balanced>Regain the weight in weeks>Eat in a small deficit, but still enough where it is not a cutting amount and I should have full energy>Awful headaches all the time>Back to cutting, no idea what to do afterAny ideas or suggestions?Am I doomed to be seasawing for the rest of my life?
Welp, at least now I know that I'm not the only with this problem.

BEFORE you post>Just cico and cardioPlease understand that I am someone that already does hours of cardio a week, and by all metrics and calculators the calorie counts I use when going for maintained weight are often 500-1000 below maintenance for my body weight for most calculators. I also seldom touch processed foods or snacks. It is also important to note that by our current understanding of fat cells, losing weight does not kill the cells, and it would take close to a decade for them all to be replaced. Is my only option to deal with headaches and feeling awful for a decade while my fat cells rebalance or keep on bulking and cutting?
>>77397647I recently found out fat cells stay around for years after you lose the fat itself. The best case scenario is if someone has any ideas on how to live with it without it being miserable for those few years, but honestly if one of those new weight loss drugs actually kills the fat cells I am willing to look into it.
After my last bulk ended i just cannot cut anymore without feeling very low energy and depressed, where in the past i actually felt good on a cut. I also weigh the most i hever have at roughly 27% bf. Wish i had never bulked or cut.
>>77397654>be me>currently only eat 800 kcal per day>feel genki as fuckWhat are your daily calories on a cut?
>>77397666I think 1500 or 1800 last time. The leanest i ever got again i was doing a lot of cardio and lifting on about 1k calories a day but then i felt like i was dying of aids. Feel that way "maingaining" lately somehow. I swear i may have gotten leaner lately while staying the same weight but then some days i am convinced im lying to myself. I have been told i look leaner but not sure. Possibly a lot of factors in life amplifying the shittiness.
>>77397654>>77397666>>77397688Freefall cutting is a skill you can gain by knowing how to utilize intermitted fasting, watery-filling foods, doing lots of walking, lots of sleeping, and almost no workout or thinking.Trying to keep a steady weight, cutting while keeping the muscle or maingaining seems to have a significant barrier if you are coming into it out of cutting and bulking.Had periods where I did 2300 kcal, 1.5 hours of walking, 30 min workout, and felt great... until the headaches started, kind of sounds more like the anon who said they are 27bf right now. Really struggling to return to the type of normal that lets the body balance things out well and in a healthy way. Also, worth noting that macros do matter when you come down to the nitty gritty of cuts like these. If you do a heavily thinking intensive activity you pretty much need fat in your diet since the brain needs it
>>77397688Take a lot of progress photos. Only way to see.Could be muscles growing and fat burning. Also, weigh weekly not daily.Too many factors can make weight change feel nonsensicle day to day, espcially when stuff like digestion takes more than 24 hours
>>77397708>>77397789Didn't start taking progress photos till i had already lifted for a year. Looks like the only thing that seems changed over the years is the amount of fat on my belly. Weighed myself for the first time in a week this morning NOW i weigh the most i have ever weighed. Maybe i will give up and get fat for a bit. Lately i only eat when hungry and take meds that curb my appetite. I am definetly muscular, but nowhere close to lean any more. Maybe i should just focus soley on making numbers go up and drop my rep volume.
>>77397807Considering what I am going through right now, and what you are going through as well, this is probaly something you will kick yourself later for doing.Hopefully this thread will take off and some folks would have ideas.
>>77397688>i felt like i was dying of aids.Do you already have experience with that?
