redpill me on golfing.
worth getting into?
>>
Why do people think golf is cool but disc golf is gay? It's basically the same thing.

throwing a frisbee around makes you look like a child
>>
If it wasn't expensive/didn't filter out poorfags, no-one on earth would do that dumb shit. It's just a business discussion for old fags in nature that doesn't require much walking, as they can't handle walking for an hour.

that's like asking why people think NFL is cool but XFL is gay

I think it would be really cool to be a pro golfer but below that level I just feel like it's a waste of time and money.
>>
it's stupid, don't play it

Yeah swing sticks at rocks is much more adult

Disc golf has a lot if talent on the pro end. Isnt xfl and nfl more like minors vs majors in baseball?

It’s pretty fun and relaxing with a small group of people, hardly a sport because it isn’t physically strenuous
>>
>>77397733
You can say that about nearly any hobby out there

My Gramps loved golfing, and kept him in old man shape. so if that,s what your going for...
>>
I hate golf, but I work in an industry where everyone golfs and I have to admit that as a professional I now see the advantages of golf. There are few hobbies and sports that are as pro-social as golf and if you’re good it’s fun and relaxing.

Golf is for rich people who are to fat and out of shape for tennis
>>
my core and hips are tight and I can't play golf at all because of it

It’s hard to get into both because (i) the startup costs are high, (ii) the learning curve is steep, and (iii) the time investment is huge. It isn’t like tennis where you can get a cheap racket and a sleeve of balls and start playing immediately. Of the people I know who like it, the most common reason cited is that it clears their head and shuts down the noise in their brain because it engages so many different processing centers of the brain. Basically, it’s the only thing that allows them to shut their brain down for several hours. Plus the high cost keeps most non-Asian minorities out, which is a plus.

its one of the few sports where you can continue doing when you are in your 60s. you dont really see 50 year old guys in boxing gyms or playing basketball. also theres tons of technique and drilling that takes years to perfect your swings

I see people in tbeir 50s playing soccer which requires more stamina on a full sized field
>>
Like it's fun but dont kid yourself it'll do anything for your health.
It's literally the only sport where bing obese, drunk, and chainsmoking dont rule you out of being a champion.
