Bros, I've been troubleshooting my bloating for 6 years.
Today, I think I might have discovered something.

Backstory:
I was feeling bloated as always. My BMI to bloat ratio is a little worse than pic related. All I ate was potato and homemade meatballs.
In desperation, I drank water, rested, walked, ate fiber, drank more water, but all I felt was a soothing with no bloating reduction.
Up to this point, my doctor's done an edoscopy, gastroscopy, feces and blood tests, visceral fat investigation using results from an unrelated MRI, I've done it all. As of the past 20 days, I've considered SIBO and been taking a Berberine regiment.

Just now, what happened:
I'm laying in bed bros, bloated from the potato and wanting to KYS. I'm eating a slice of freshly baked levain, simply for the relief.
I put the laptop aside and think about a cunt.
My hands wrap around my neck as I close my eyes and my body enter some natural contracted ab crunch position, as I'm meditating.
The first thing I notice: my gut starts working, and it feels incredible.
>wat
I eat the last bite of the levain while in the ab crunch position. The bread lands like medicine in my stomach, and I hear gurglings for the first time in hours.
My crunch is putting pressure on my stomach and food starts travelling
>um, wtf?
My bloating is alleviated and I feel insane.
I keep this position for 2 minutes as I feel the bloating side effects easing up and HUNGER emerging. I'm hungry now. Food starts traveling and I've become hungry.
Before opening up 4chan to make this post, I google:
>do ab exercises help gut motility
>answer: "Yes, ab and core exercises significantly aid gut motility."
>omggg, my core has been weak and food is sitting in my stomach, I don't have IBS, IBD, IBT, SIBO or whatever the fuck, my gut is just not working because the core is not stimulating motility
I keep this position for 15 minutes now and start writing this post
I currently feel incredible.

I've never done an ab crunch in my life.(1/2)
>>
It's currently 00:07 and I feel my gut working harder than ever. I should be asleep, but I feel the food being processed and I feel increasingly healthy. It feels amazing. I'm farting and doing productive things instead of fermenting.
>>
common overtraining symptom is bloating, as digestion slows down

gastritis is also common, if frequently use nsaids for headaches etc. or alcohol

Overtraining? I'm talking undertraining.
I've never done an ab crunch in my life and I don't have abs to speak of.
I've been holding this ab crunch position since making this thread. It actually feels good. I suppose it puts pressure on the stomach, which sends it a signal to start working.
I've been burping and farting for a while now instead of just bloating, fermenting and feeling ill. This is way more preferable. At least the gasses are coming out and shit is moving along.

Gonna hate it when you have doms but they will go away you fat, weak, gassy little bitch. Congrats on fixing yourself.
>>
>>77400957
Thanks! Do you like me anon? Be honest

>So ive been "bloated" for 6 years...
No, you're just obese.
>>
>>77400866
I've been activating my abs for 4 hours now, with the occasional hard crunch.
I feel slight acid reflux but this is preferred over distension, sluggishness and bloating.
I feel my gut moving. I've been burping and farting constantly.
It's going to be interesting to see how I feel in the morning and what my stool looks like.
>>
wtf is a levain

I used to get really bad bloating, and was constipated so badly that I considered kms'ing myself.
What I did was basically reset my gut bacteria to factory defaults. I did the FODMAP diet (properly, unlike 99% of people who say they did it). It's basically a full exclusion diet for anything that your gut bacteria can digest, so it nukes them pretty bad. During that diet I completely lost all of my symptoms, and managed to keep them off when I reintroduced all of the fermentable carbs.
So then after I did the FODMAP diet, I did the exact opposite. I started fibermaxxing with lots of probiotics and occasional probiotic supplements. Now I eat about 50g fiber per day, and I feel amazing. Enough that I genuinely feel sick any time I eat fast food or go a couple of days without my regular breakfast/lunch (where I get most of my fiber). It still seems largely random when I get the bloating, but it happens much less regularly. Also any time I feel a little bit of constipation coming I have a movicol (macrogol) at the absolute first signs.
Also my abs are pretty strong. I can max the ab machine at my gym, do high-rep ab roller sets, squat 3pl8, and deadlift 4pl8. So I wouldn't count on it being ab strength related. Much more likely it's due to your gut microbiome.

Happy for you bro

Thanks for the validation. I keep referring to myself as 6 months pregnant.

Wtf is this 50 shades of gay shit???
>>
Yeah bro, your schizo ass figured out what hundreds of years of science couldn't

except pulling on my neck and crunching because I had my back rested on two pillows
That position and closing my eyes as I meditated

I just ate a big breakfast. 4 eggs. 4 slices of brown bread with cheese. 1,5 cups of lactose free yoghurt with olive oil and lemon juice. Activating my upper abs constantly, not a crunch just activation, and whereas previously I'd be bloated and suffer from food coma, right now I'm just gooning in bed.

I think all diffuse symptoms might've been caused a lack of activation in my upper abs in particular. I feel pressure against my stomach right now, it wants to bloat and ferment but I'm not letting it, and it's forced to work.
Crunching gives even more relief.
It's wild desu
>>
Been flexing my abs for 24 hours now total. Farting pretty routinely. Feeling fantastic in terms of bloat.

Today I ate: 4 eggs, 4 slices of brown bread with cheese, lots of yoghurt with olive oil, potatoes and carrots for breakfast, steak and 3 big potatoes for dinner, 3 slices of toasted brown bread with nutella as late night snack. I have 0 bloating right now, activating my abs constantly. I fart often. I burp. I've also not taken a shit yet. No bloating and no shit (yet). My poop is being processed normally.
It's actually quite wild if this turns out to be the issue.
It caused so many diffuse symptoms, including OSA, and I've gotten a CPAP because of it. I haven't been able to make gains because of nutritional malabsorption and poor recovery.

If I've uncovered how to activate your gut, I might write a book about this

Bro

Did you sleep?
>>
>>77402595
I napped for an hour in the middle of the day. I did sleep since yesterday, if that's what you're asking
>>
hows your farting and burping today, anon?
>>
Least schizo thread I've seen in a while.
>>
yo i struggled with the same shit trying to find the cause for over 10 years. finally found the problem and it was food allergy. not all food allergies are major hives and swollen throat reactions. some just cause intestinal inflammation. start a limited restriction diet and see if you get better after a weak or two. in my case it was nightshade allergy which is tomatoes and peppers and potatoes
>>
>>77402593
>I might write a book about this
books are unc coded. share your bloat gut knowledge on yt shorts
>>
When you stand and urinate and you bear down to strengthen your urine stream, do you regularly feel a sliding sensation, like gas, food, feces, and/or your guts themselves moving and shifting around? Maybe the stomach slipping and sliding back and forth through your diaphragm like some kind of sliding hiatal hernia? Just curious. What the fuck is wrong with me?
>>
>>77403008
Been activating my abs for 48 hours now. No bloating. Farted a bit today. The farts are more forceful now compared to their passivity before. This is honestly an insane development. My upper abdomen is no longer bloated, it's very, very flat, and this puts pressure on my stomach to work and not let food ferment in there
It's actually incredible. No bloating or sluggishness for two days now, from wanting to KYS when I made the thread.
I just finished eating fishsticks and mashed potato and I have no bloating. Some thirst, but no bloating. It's insane
>>
>>77404095
Nope. Never felt that
>>
Btw do you guys like me, guys?
>>
>>77404214
I think you're alright.

Fine

>>77401400
I can make my stomach look like op picrel left or right on command. Some people are simply cursed with loose abdominals.
>>
keep us updated daily anon, dont let the thread die!

>As of the past 20 days, I've considered SIBO and been taking a Berberine regiment.
You don't cure SIBO by just taking Berberine, much less this quick, fucking dumbass, you'd need antibiotics and months of a restricted diet for SIBO, even worse for IMO or SIFO
Have you even done a H2+CH4 breath test to actually rule out SIBO and IMO? Have you done biopsy to rule out SIFO?
That said, core activation actually makes sense, you're "manually" stimulating your vagus nerve, thus increasing gut motility.
This would absolutely work best as a complementary strategy rather than the main one.
I wish you a good recovery but act smarter, idiot
>>
>>77404810
i love you guys so muc, today i went to the gym and ran more efficiently than normal because i braced my core unlike previous times, i have not farted as much but my stomach is flatter at the top
i naturally activate the top part of my abs, it becomes flat and puts pressure on my stomach to continue working
no food comas no cravings, drinking coffee nicely with no negative side effects,im really hopeful, tomorrow I got an appointment with the doctor for an SIBO follow up plan I reached out about before I discovered this, I think I finally discovered my issue to be honest, after 6 years of troubleshooting
