>bilateral so it's faster than cables which you usually have to do unilaterally >completely stable so you can't cheat>can actually grind reps unlike other variantsWhy do people favor DBs or cables so much over machine laterals? Does your arm being bent at the elbow make some sort of difference to efficacy? This machine is never used at my gym and it'd help me deal with the packs of zoomer retards that congregate around the cables for 1 less movement.
>>77407999>which you usually have to do unilaterallyNot on the adjustable cable machine.
>>77408048Sure and I like that movement a lot but it's a pain in the ass getting that entire machine for yourself in a normal gym even during non peak hours. My gym has 2 full big ass dual cable stations + a freemotion one and it's still somehow always taken
>>77407999most people don't have access to a lateral raise machine, so most programs omit them.
>>77407999You should focus on doing literally hundreds of reps without weight to develop a strong rotator cuff. Heavy cable or presses completely skip development of rotator cuff muscles (supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor and subscapularis). They won't develop at all under the big muscles, you will end up with a poor shoulder joint encapsulated under larger muscles. This is a recipe for shoulder pain in geriatric patients (eg over 35)
